Interested in customs clearance, do you need to apply for a visa through the Consulate in Kyiv? Air ticket, hotel booking, etc., insurance, I will be very grateful!!!

I flew from Russia, the trip algorithm was no different from any other trip to a visa-free country (Turkey, Egypt). You book a hotel, buy air tickets, take out insurance, I also decided the transfer issue in advance, it’s convenient when they meet you, and the price is the same, unless of course you plan to take a taxi from the airport.

if you fly to Thailand for up to 15 days, then you, like us, do not need a visa

Citizens of Ukraine have the right to obtain a visa upon arrival if the purpose of travel is tourist and the period of stay does not exceed 15 days.
Must be available:
means of covering living expenses (not less than 20,000 baht (650 USD) per person),
passport (valid for at least 6 months)
2 photo (4 × 6)
completed questionnaire
a ticket with a departure date of no more than 15 days
The visa fee for an arrival visa is 2,000 baht.

you can take a photo there upon arrival even before the border guards pass, but it’s better to take a ready-made one with you

There is nothing particularly difficult. The question is very general, what exactly are you interested in? According to the documents - above answered. Ticket - I looked at the Momondo aggregator, I booked the hotel and paid through Agoda. Transfer - if Pattaya is a bus without problems, and Phuket too. (Like Kyiv-Borispol) Prices change, new flights and airlines come in, maybe a package for some dates will be cheaper, you have to look. And so start with tickets.

In Pattaya, a bus to the bus station, minibuses from Phuket Airport are more expensive, but they deliver to hotels.

Insurance - made out at home in the first office of an insurance company that came along the way. If you want, take a policy from a company whose name is well-known. 15 minutes and some money.

Your assistant in your independent trip - Thaiman2006.
#Thailand# Pattaya#guide# driver#excursions# Your personal guide in Thailand#
My main occupation is individual excursions or transfers in Thailand.
I am not a travel agent. You can contact me and arrange a tour or transfer. Perhaps you will outline the range of your interests and we will jointly develop a route that is interesting for you.
There is one not the cheapest, but convenient and interesting way to travel around Thailand - with a personal Russian guide. Those who like to "explore the territory" on their own can always find a lot of interesting information about the object, but it is not always convenient to get there by public transport or by Thai taxi. You can rent a car yourself, but if you calculate the cost of rent, fuel and lack of experience in driving a right-hand drive car, then I think my offer will be interesting to you.
This is not the type of travel that is now fashionable to call "budget". But if a group of people with similar interests is selected, then you can meet the price of a regular bus tour. But with all the benefits of private.

Visa on arrival, for 15 days - about 60 dollars (2000 baht), for this you need to have:
• Foreign passport (valid for at least 30 more days on the date of entry into the country, with at least one free page for a stamp)
• 1 photo 4x6 (taken no later than 6 months before the visa was issued) photos can be taken right there.
• Ticket to leave Thailand. The date of the return ticket (or ticket to a third country) must be no later than 15 days from the date of arrival (migration services check the date of the return flight). A ticket printout can be done on the spot at the airport, free of charge, or at home, in advance.
• Know the address of stay in Thailand (sometimes the officer asks for a hotel/guesthouse reservation).
• Have an amount equivalent to 10,000 baht per person/20,000 baht per family (checked infrequently). I have not been checked
• Migration card (issued on the plane)
• Visa application form - the application form is filled in by tourists on their own, by hand. The questionnaire is issued by the migration services of the airport, and this questionnaire can also be filled out well in advance of departure. I filled it out at home, downloaded it on the Internet.
There are airports in Thailand that do not provide visa on arrival, but you are unlikely to fly to such an airport. Where do you need?

If you need a visa for more than 15 days, then you can get it at the consulate in Kyiv, the cost is $ 40. To do this, you need:
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months) and a copy of 1 (identification) page
- Completed form
you can download it here: http://thaiconsulate.kiev.ua/downloads/ ... n_form.doc
- Photo (3.5 x 4.5)
- Two way ticket (FULLY PAID). The date of the return ticket (or ticket to a third country), depending on the terms of the requested visa, may be in 90 days.
- Bank statement in English language (originally issued in English or a translation certified by a translation agency) about the status of your accounts (20,000 baht per person / 40,000 baht per family, which is equivalent to about 700/1400 US dollars); for husband and wife, one deposit per 2 people is allowed. In this case, it will be necessary to provide the consulate, among other documents, with a copy of the marriage certificate.
- Certificate from the place of work or study in English. language (originally issued in English or a translation certified by a translation agency). For the unemployed, an account statement is sufficient.

As you can see, no one will require you to have insurance in any of the ways to obtain a visa. Many Asian countries (if not all) do not require insurance, but driving without insurance is a big risk. I usually take out inexpensive insurance at Ukreximbank for 1 year. I used to make out in Privatbank, the price has risen there now, but the managers at least understand what they are talking about. In Ukreximbank, you need to have a good deal of indifference and perseverance in order to get travel insurance from them. And, of course, have their card. They will tell you that you need a gold card, but they themselves are poorly versed in the service, any card is enough, the main thing is to prove it to the manager)

I usually book hotels on Booking.com. Sometimes it seems that it’s cheaper on Agoda, but when you pay, some interest comes out, and that’s how it turns out. I had a chance to call and correspond with Booking several times, everything was prompt and clear. And with Agoda, when replacing the card, I had a lot of trouble, so now there is no interest in them.
Advanced travelers do not book anything in advance, or only book for the first night. I book in advance 90% of the time. I don't like wasting time looking for accommodation. I do not book only if I am not sure of the date of arrival-arrival.
I take plane tickets where it is cheaper, I use momondo search engines, air sales, skyscanner, Yandex. It is better to look for domestic flights in Asia immediately on local carriers. To cope with the language, open sites in the Chrome browser, there is a "translate page" function.
Regarding the transfer from the airport. Usually I read on the Internet, before the trip, how you can get from this or that airport. Bus is the cheapest. Slightly more expensive train (there is in Bangkok). Taxis are the most expensive. In any case, no one has stayed at the airport yet) Everyone found their way to their hotel) And you will find it.

I would especially like to say about MAPS.ME maps. Download this program, it works without internet. You just need to download detailed maps of the regions you need in advance, while still at home.
Mark your route, places of interest to you, hotels and train stations on a Google map (this is convenient to do on a computer), then export to mepsmi (in the menu look for the item "export to KML", save the file, send it to yourself by mail and open this file in the phone where Mepsmi is). This will greatly facilitate your stay in an unfamiliar country.
Here, for example, my map https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?hl=ru&mid=1X3B5zkoR0VKhToXeKk4vbuJozUau6koZ Mepsmi will not show icons and pictures, but will mark the exact location and save the description. Therefore, describe clearly for yourself, because the picture will not be visible.
I wish you a wonderful journey!
