Gee-gee :)) That's why there are few children there!

Ko Kood.

You can swim everywhere. In terms of temperature. There are fewer children on the islands. And the beaches are cleaner. There are many islands in Krabi where “prim” elderly Europeans (Germans, British ....) without children rest. Quiet rest for the elderly. For example, Ko Siboya. Didn't see a single child there while we were there. But the beaches there are specific. With big tides. What not everyone likes. And getting out of there is not so easy. Everything has to be paid for. If someone insistently recommends "heaven" to others, then soon so many people crowd there that it becomes more and more like hell ... Good luck! :-)

Islands for sure! Koh Samui, Koh Tao, etc.

Thank you very much for the answers, so let's go to some island. So far, there is little idea about the Thai ebbs and flows and the comments about the waves, in which supposedly you can’t enter the water, are frightening.

Consider a trip to the island. Koh Chang.
There, on all the beaches (except White Sand Beach), there are few children and the tides are not very strongly felt. There were no waves to prevent entry into the water.
Hotels with a good beach: Ko Chang Park, Cliff beach resort (Kai Bay beach), Ko Chang Resort (Klong Prao beach). Getting to this island is relatively easy - bus from Bangkok + ferry. There are many interesting places on the island that you can visit both with a tour and on your own.

Depending on which region you want to go to rest. If you go to Phuket, then the Similan Islands are very good and beautiful, and if you go to Pattaya, then, as was said above, os. Ko-Kud, it is also called the coconut lagoon, is a very calm and beautiful island, there they also filmed Eagle and Tails, where Regina Todorenko was resting. But in no case not on Ko-Lan, it's terrible, ahaha

Relax on Koh Kood. I remember with nostalgia, although it was a long time ago (maybe a lot has changed now). Another photo - as you can see, not only children, there is no one at all, the whole space is yours.

Cliff beach resort (Kai Bay beach), Ko Chang Resort (Klong Prao beach)
On these beaches, the sea is shallow and swimming is in question !!! I would not recommend these hotels.

A month like from Koh Chang, there were a lot of children!

Then the choice is between Siboya and Koh kood. Or Krabi.

If you start your vacation in Pattaya, then Koh Kuda is very easy to get to. You go to Trat, and then on a speedboat to the island. When we rested, there were transfers directly to the pier, and back from the island to the pier, and then by car directly to the bus station (I think nothing has changed in this regard). Many hotels offer kayaks for rent. We took and swam along the coast, stopping at beautiful beaches. You can also rent a scooter, ride around the island, there is something to see.
In general, you can organize a pleasant rich program for yourself.

On Siboya, keep in mind, very high ebbs and flows. The sea is warm and calm, like a lake. But the water goes away about a hundred meters. And at night it comes back ... The sea is clean, but the sand is silted up from the tides. There are a huge number of different crabs in the sand on the shore. Go to the depths like in the Baltic States - well, VERY far ... The bungalows are really - wonderful. And pineapple plantations too. But getting out on the tour is difficult. The most peaceful place in Thailand where I have been. And this is just - in Krabi.

And what about the food? Are there any local markets, shops, cafes?
аватар Oleksii64
In addition to children, there are also Chinese citizens in Tai. And I don't know which is worse :)

"And what about the food? Are there any local markets, shops, cafes?"
This is a remote village, there are no shops either, if a small shed is considered a shop. You will not leave hungry, there is a cafe at the resorts. For me, there is nothing to do there, the sea is not bathable.
"Citizens of the People's Republic of China"
It's a plague!!! Horror!!!

Now I'm on vacation in Thailand. Khao Lak area. One of the national parks of Tai. Chosen according to the principle: complete Relaxation, no parties, empty beaches. 100% hit!!! Germans and Scandinavians have a rest. There are very few Russians. There are almost no Chinese. There are several beaches here. We are in the north. I can safely recommend Merlin Beach hotels, the brand new Eden Beach Resort.

To confirm, I add a photo of the beach at bathing time)))

And so for 3-4 km))) amazing place!!!!!!

The head explodes from the information :) :) :) In short, for the first 11 days you want to plunge into the color of Phuket with markets, local dishes and trips to temples and attractions (only without parties and dirty beaches), Rawai? And then hang out for a week on a quiet wild beach, preferably in the middle between Phuket and Bangkok, such as the island of Koh Kood or Khao Lak.
аватар galiya1962
Rawai in Phuket is a port and a fishing market, swimming is dirty and shallow. IMHO.
Koh Kood and Khao Lak are in different places in Thailand. From Phuket to Koh Where you will get about a day, if not by plane.

You write "Cliff beach resort (Kai Bay beach), Ko Chang Resort (Klong Prao beach)
On these beaches, the sea is shallow and swimming is in question !!! I would not recommend these hotels."
This is not true. I have stayed in both of these hotels. There were no problems with swimming. It was possible to swim both at high tide and at low tide.
Indeed, in the southern part of both Klong Prao and Kai Bay, the sea is shallow and there will be problems with swimming at low tide. But not in these two hotels located in the northern part of the beaches.
