Everyone says that they bathe during the day, and it's cool in the evening. On May 7 my aunt returns from Kemer, I will write to you. So the information will be first hand!)))

You are going to Alanya, so don't worry, it will be hot there. There are usually no mosquitoes. And in Kemer the temperature is always a few degrees lower than in Alanya. We went to Alanya several times on May 9th. We swam in the sea and every day there was sun. During the day the temperature is 35 degrees, so take sunscreen. In the evening, you need to take a blouse with a sleeve (but not a windbreaker). Sometimes even the evenings are very warm and I went around in a T-shirt.

And yet the weather on the Internet is not true. When we flew, we transmitted 18 degrees and rains, and there was heat and sun.

We were in the middle of May the year before last, somewhere from the 15th-16th, in Kemer. It was quite possible to swim in the sea, a 2.5-year-old child also swam, but as for me it’s cool, it feels like 20-22 degrees (I can’t say for sure - I haven’t seen a thermometer anywhere =)).
And sunbathing is no problem at all! In the evenings, after 19.00-20.00, she wore something with long sleeves. I don't remember mosquitoes.

Mid-May and even Alanya - you have every chance to sunbathe and swim in the sea.
Because Alanya is south of other Turkish resorts and it is usually warmer there by a couple of degrees

ALWAYS take a fumigator with you: it will not take up much space, and then you will also say thank you. Probably, you are buying. But we were in May 2008, in Side. It was warm, but we did not swim, the sea was cold.

It depends on what temperature you like to swim at ... we weren’t in May ... we were in Alanya from June 6 - it was possible to swim - the water was like on a normal summer day in central Russia ... But only this way, for minutes 5... Invigorates you know...
In May ... I doubt ... of course you will go knee-deep ... and then as an amateur ...
Mosquitoes - feel free to take a fumigator. If they are not poisoned around the hotel, then it will come in handy.

you will definitely not freeze in Alanya.
we were last year from May 3 to 13 in Belek ... the water in the sea is 20 degrees .. in principle, a Russian person is great with a morning and after a hangover, plunge into an invigorating sea))) in my opinion, better than in July to die from the heat in the sea itself - the water temperature is 26 ...
I flew in last year as a Negro :)) and tanned and bathed enough ..)
Alanya is the southernmost resort - do not freeze for sure. my friends fly away on April 30-exactly there!!!
and we chose Kemer this year, but since May 13 ...))
have a good rest!

Well, why is the water 26 in mid-July? Not 26 but 29!!! And it's divine!!!
аватар Merime
There may be mosquitoes. May 3 returned from Belek - rested from April 19 to May 3. We swam from the very first day - the sea is about 21-22 degrees! So in mid-May it will certainly be possible to swim, especially since Alanya is south of Belek. And from mosquitoes, take a fumigator and tablets for it with you.

Returned May 7th. It was raining in Kemer, we swam 2 times, the water was cold, but we sunbathed successfully. There are no mosquitoes, probably frozen. It is warm during the day, cold in the evening. You eat later and to the south, and therefore it will be warmer. Good luck!
