All three hotels were previously part of the Alara Group, so on the peninsula it was possible to use the bars, swimming pools, beaches (and some even managed to restaurants) of all three hotels. I have been there many times and I want to again (the last time was August-September 2011), but this year information appeared that West was no longer in Alara, as evidenced by the name change and the inability to make a reservation for West from Alara's website.
