We took a chance and went from a local agency in Alanya. No luck with the guide, deceived. He spoke Polish, as the group was mostly Polish. He did not know Russian. They understood something. I had to buy a book and studied back about Cappadocia on my own. The first time so flew with a local agency. We went for two days. There is a lot of time on the road. We left there very early. It was hard. But it's worth it. If you go, it's probably better from a tour operator. Maybe you'll have better luck with a guide.
On the first day we got acquainted with the underground city, three valleys, a temple in the rock. Overnight and dinner at the hotel on the mountain. The second day is the way back with a visit to a jewelry factory, leather, caravanserai. I don't remember everything, it was in 2011.
Only advice. You need to take warm clothes with you. Overnight stay at altitude, in the evening and morning in June it was 13 degrees. Good afternoon. It was also cold on the bus. And preferably a pillow under the head. We really wanted to go there and we really liked it. And the photos are just amazing. I highly recommend.

We went on a two-day trip from Coral Travel in May 2011. The program is very rich and interesting. The guide was smart. The hotel Cappadocia Inn, where we spent the night, is also quite good. Regarding visiting the underground city: if you have a fear of enclosed spaces (claustrophobia), it is better to skip it. And the rest - great, incredible beauty. I advise!
