Yes, go to Alanya itself (a good Archaeological Museum, Damlatas cave). Dim Cave is not far from Mahmutlar (a grandiose sight-15 lira entrance). We didn’t have time to go to Sarigerme Canyon, but it’s worth a visit.

The Red Tower, it would be nice to visit the southernmost point of Turkey Anamur - there is a lighthouse, ruins, a good beach, the view from the top point is awesome. Jeep safari in the Sapadere canyon as advised by babol. The canyon is located about 40 km east of Alanya.

There is nothing special in Mahmutlar itself, it is better to go to Alanya itself. There you can see not only the Red Tower, but the entire fortress. Not a single day can be spent on studying it; shipyard, caves, port.
