I always bring olive oil (it is excellent in Turkey), olive soap. Then, Turkish delight, but not in boxes, but the one that is sold by weight. It costs more than a boxed one, but it tastes like a chic thing and for every taste and color. You can also bring leather belts, etc. (BUT, buying these things is worth it in local-oriented stores, i.e. with price tags in lira, not in dollars and euros). From experience, it turns out cheaper, and better things.
Turkish textiles are a great thing. As well as silk shawls or scarves made in Turkey (better if in Bursa). A lot of them are sold in the store, which carry tourists on the way to Pamukkale. You can buy chic scarves and shawls there, and the price is cheaper than in Russia.
Coffee, tea, gold-silver DO NOT buy.
What else to bring - different jams (we don’t really like roses, but apricot jam is gorgeous), then spices, walnuts, etc.
You can also handbags with nat. bring ornaments.
Then, pomegranate syrup (nar exisi). The thicker it is, the better the quality.
Well, trite, but always useful - magnets

Customs will gladly "accept" a handmade carpet in their hairy paws.
Ceramic dishes are very beautiful and expensive. Glassware is cheaper and very heavy.
In addition to olive oil, pay attention to walnut oil, from hazelnuts, available in Migros supermarkets. My wife insisted :) and we bought a 5l canister last time, the oil is excellent.
Jam - from figs, pomegranate syrup is identical to our narsharab, but it turns out to be three times cheaper.
People advised me to try pekmez, it's like delicious and super healthy, - bullshit, this is some kind of waste from the sugar industry, just sweet burnt syrup.
We don’t like sugar and starch, so we don’t buy Turkish delight, nougat with nuts is better.
Nuts and dried fruits are more expensive than in Kyiv, clothes are the same price.

Be sure to bring oil, especially in Migros it is sold in tin containers, it is very convenient, you can put it in a suitcase. It is inexpensive. All of my people love it. Halva still goes with pistachios with a bang, I buy it in the same Migros or else I found a semblance of a social store, prices are an order of magnitude lower there. Like these stores of the Shock chain. Back in that year, my sister bought a locally produced electric grill., i.e. e. barbecue can be cooked at home or on the balcony in 15-20 minutes, and it costs only 25 liras, such grills are sold in Migros and in Macromarkets. It weighs 2 kg, I am very pleased with the purchase. Now all my friends want one.
