How to take flights to Bodrum on your own, without buying a tour?
I want to go to Bodrum with my family and rent a villa there. But air tickets are sold in advance only to Antalya. Before Bodrum, tickets are sold either with a tour or 3-5 days in advance. And I can't risk it, because I am traveling with my children and my elderly parents. It will be impossible to change the dates later, because. the villa is booked in advance.
Tell me, maybe someone has already solved and solved this problem?

I haven’t tried it myself, but it seems to me that there can only be an option with a transfer through the major Turkish cities of Istanbul, Ankara, and then to Dalaman (but this will be a long transfer) or Milos.
аватар Katyyy
or to the same Antalya, and then by domestic airlines to Milos.
аватар sandra-art
depending on when the trip. if in June, then I think there will be seats on the flights. but July-August is more problematic.
and indicate from which country, city you are flying
аватар Katyyy
here initially in the question it was indicated that waiting for the sale of tickets is not acceptable .. in such a quantity (as I understand it, at least five people) I would not even pin my hopes on June. :(It seems to me that the surest way is to use internal low-costs, if nothing good comes of transfers and connections.

Good afternoon, Katyyy and sandra-art! Thanks for reaching out and trying to help. We are going really 5 people. Departure from Kyiv. I am planning a trip for September. I want to rent a villa in Bodrum (and I need to "clog" it now), so it is desirable to have air tickets to Bodrum. I called several airlines - they told me to call 5 maximum 7 days before departure, but we do not guarantee anything (5 tickets!). You can buy with a transfer through Istanbul, but it turns out to be expensive. They also advise buying a cheap tour ...
For the first time I decided to go not on "All Inclusive", I really want to see Turkey "from the other side", as people traveling around the country write a lot on the Internet. If it doesn't work out, I'll rent a villa, somewhere closer to Antalya. But I still have time, maybe I can still come up with something?

(It seems to me that the surest way is to use internal low-cost airlines if nothing good comes of transfers and connections).
Can you please explain how this is done?
аватар Katyyy
I don’t think it’s the cheapest tour, but taking into account round-trip tickets, it will last as long as staying in a villa and it will turn out to be sooo expensive for you. And renting a villa for 14 days should not be very profitable.
Therefore, there is time, look .. I think there will be more options.
аватар Katyyy
Can you please explain how this is done?
To do this, you need to explore the possibility of flying from Antalya to Dalaman or Milos. Low-cost airlines are budget airlines, not always of local importance. make a request on google.
If it doesn't work out, ask a separate question, I know for sure that some experts use such services, it just takes time for them to answer.
аватар NataliiaA
It’s really not cheap to rent a villa, but if you buy a tour for 5 people in a good hotel, it turns out to be more expensive. Considering the cost of the villa, self-catering, transfers and other expenses, I didn’t want to give the cost of the villa for airfare.
аватар NataliiaA
Katyy, thanks. I will try to consider the issue of transferring from Antalya by budget airlines to a city closer to Bodrum.
аватар Katyyy
I mean, renting a villa for a short period, for example, 14 days, is not profitable and does not make sense, and the payback is less.
Try Ankara to consider.

Not necessarily with a transfer. Last year we missed the plane (from Moscow) to Dalaman. We bought tickets directly from the tour operator (Coral Travel, three tickets for 24000r). There are counters at the airport, try to contact them. There were also tickets at the box office , even for a charter, but in three to five days, for almost any date. And it’s closer for you to fly to Dalaman. Antalya is a completely different region, and Ankara is even more so, and it will be expensive, it’s better to rent a villa in Belek and fly to Antalya , there are much more charters flying there than on the Aegean coast.

Katy is right about everything. you now pay more for the flight. We don't have straight lines. Or via Istanbul-Bodrum. Or Istanbul-Izmir. A flight to Istanbul for one will cost 360 at least. Or through Antalya.
there are no other options
аватар Anetka-gan
marifinn is a girl from Kyiv, and the option "before departure" does not suit her =)
аватар marifinn
I see that from Kyiv, maybe you can buy charter tickets from a tour operator in advance and in Kiev .. Or maybe NataliiaA is really better to fly to Antalya and rent a house on the Antalya coast .. We once had such a rest, rented an apartment in Belek, in three-story cottage, three bedrooms, kitchen, living room. Fenced area, swimming pool, barbecue, 400-500m from the beach. It cost 600$ per month with cleaning. But I didn’t like to relax like that. It’s better to be on ALL for two weeks in a classy hotel and not think about anything. If necessary, I’ll leave the phone of the Turk with whom we lived. We filmed directly, without an agency. We met him earlier when we rested in Belek at the Paloma Grida hotel.
аватар Katyyy
Yes, it’s better to go to the Crimea in general .. I think you first need to “finish off” the first option, and then sacrifice your desire in favor of comfort or cost.
Py.Sy. citizens, well, is it really inaccessible that it is not an option to wait for the last hour ???? sorry for the harshness.
аватар Katyyy
charternye-rejsy-turtsiyu - the whole point of the question. :))) They themselves recently wanted to buy only two tickets in two weeks - they refused us, not only directly but also through an agency, arguing that until the last moment, it is more profitable for them to sell tickets for package tours.
аватар Katyyy
Well, Wiz-air Kiev-Antalya does not need to be written off.
аватар NataliiaA
sandra-art, thanks for the link. I already called there. They offer just like everyone else. You can get to Antalya in advance cheaply (min. 235 dollars for a budget Wizz Air flight), and all other flights are charter, and as a result - only 3-5 days in advance.
Katyyy is right - everything is only for package tours.
I found it through Istanbul (Kyiv-Istanbul-Bodrum), but it turns out for 560 dollars a ticket. Moreover, for children without a discount, because. they are over 2 years old. True, in this company and in Antalya a ticket is 360 dollars. (but can be taken in advance). There is another option to rent a villa somewhere in the area of Kas or Kalkan (3 hours by car from Antalya), there is amazing beauty! (I read reviews of tourists on the Internet). Then Wiz-air Kyiv - Antalya can be taken cheaply and + transfer ordered. Of course you can in Belek and Kemer, but it's a shame. Just one villa in Bodrum really liked, but you have to give up what you want.
аватар sandra-art
How many days do you want to fly?
аватар NataliiaA
At 14-15. I will adjust the rental dates of the villa according to the air tickets. Therefore, tickets for me is the number 1 question. Villa will wait a little longer.
аватар Anetka-gan
2 weeks cheaper to take a tour, fool your head)))
and in September, by the way, it will be colder on the Aegean coast. Antalya is better. so either Vizeir + vila. or the tour is ready. it won't be cheaper.
and think about Crimea =)
аватар NataliiaA
Anetka-gan, thanks for the advice. Crimea excluded. I don't have that much money. And to rest in the Crimea is cheap - it's more expensive for yourself. About the tour. You understand that all people like to relax in different ways. I have already rested in the best hotels in Turkey. And the more fashionable they are, the more boring I am. I can’t fly somewhere further than Turkey yet. I think that in the villa, if you rent a car, it will be more interesting to travel around the area. In addition, self-cooking suits me much more. For me, cooking is a pleasure. But that's from another topic. Thank you. I will think.
аватар marifinn
As for the coolness in September in the Bodrum-Dalaman region, this is nonsense. The difference with Antalya is 1-2 degrees. 5 to 19th. The weather was heavenly +28 during the day, the sea is very warm, and a huge plus, few people.
аватар Anetka-gan
if you want to rent a car, I don’t see a difference in a hotel-villa. cook - some hotels have rooms with a kitchen) in hotels you can take a separate villa. You can find out everything in TA.
I myself prefer to rest myself without MOT, but common sense always prevails. everything must be calculated to the smallest detail.
аватар Anetka-gan
marifinn is purely your opinion :)
аватар NataliiaA
Anetka-gan, I completely agree with you, regarding the calculation to the smallest detail. That's why I'm here (on the forum).
And as for common sense, then you are right on point, for example, I always had it over the edge. I suffer from it. It ends up being a lot of fuss. About the weather in September. Then I agree with marifinn. Many of my friends rested in September on the Aegean Sea. That's why I chose September. Thanks to all.
аватар NataliiaA
Very much I ask all responding to my question. We've gotten way off topic. I did not ask for advice on how to relax and what is better. I just wanted to clarify how best to fly from Kyiv to Bodrum (read the question above). I received very good advice from the girls who wrote to me above. For which we thank them very much. They largely confirmed my fears, but also gave good advice. I don't expect anyone else to be able to help me in any way, but anything can happen. I would appreciate that.
аватар Anetka-gan
I returned in September with a sore throat. it was constantly raining :) although it didn’t spoil my vacation personally, but you seem to be with a child.
I already wrote about departures - only with a transfer.
аватар NataliiaA
I'm sorry you're out of luck. For departures in advance, it is valid only with a transfer or wait for a charter. Thank you.
