there, almost all the sights are at arm's length from each other .... audio guides in museums ... why do you need a guide?
аватар andreyvip
Take a guidebook or download some information about the city from the net and you will have more than enough information and sights for 3 days
аватар fedorov13
In fact, I have already pumped up a bunch of information and planned the routes for these 3 days. I'm looking for optimization options :)
аватар andreyvip
Route optimization is a very individual understanding, no guide can help you here. In one place you can be 2 minutes, and in another, even an hour is not enough to enjoy it, while for another tourist everything can be completely different according to interests. And guides always average everything and for them any delay of a tourist in an interesting place is a waste of his time.

well, for starters, look on the net what days and hours it works .... we also read a lot before the trip ... like planned tours for three days ... but how on the spot. then generally got out of the schedule .... write, in principle, where do you want to go?

Tanya, I already went through the punctures at the time of work (in Prague on Saturday I went to the synagogue :)). Therefore, considering that I will be in the city and on Monday I studied the work of museums.
I plan: Saturday - "left" bank of the European part (standard set: Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Hippodrome, Cistern, Archaeological - "if possible"), Sunday - "right" (Dolmabahce, Taksim, Istiklal, Galata Tower, Markets, Soleimani), Monday - a boat on the Bosphorus, the Asian part (I want to go to the fish market there).

Route corrections, tips and suggestions are welcome. I would be extremely grateful.

somehow I didn’t get to Sofia and the Blue Mosque ... I won’t tell you in time .... topkapi - 3-4 hours .. after it I was terribly tired ... so then I quickly went to a cafe .. to relax and have a bite ... hippodrome somewhere for an hour for a walk ... a cistern ... somewhere 1-2 ... archaeological ... 2 hours ... basically at an accelerated pace .. Dolmabahce .. about an hour excursion to selamlik and the same amount in haremlik...(these tours are only for Turkish and English-speaking groups...so nail down to any...considering the waiting time in line...we nailed to the Turkish one, then waited 30 minutes)..taksim-istiklal.. .I won’t tell you the time ... the Galata tower - 30-40 minutes for a walk without a restaurant ... an ambush with markets ... it’s like magic ... you go in for two hours ... in the morning ... and you leave in the evening. ..a boat on the Bosphorus for 1,5-2 hours .... well, in time somewhere like this ... it happened to me))

I think that you yourself have already found it ... but still ... http://stambul4you.ru/2009/11/around-stambul-all-trips-3days/

Yes, I saw it, thanks. This file + /- and focused

Tanya, tell me, did you like Dolmabahce? Exactly half of the reviews: expensive, a lot of people, and everything you see is not worth it.
аватар tanya-tor
Personally, I liked it ... even more than topkapi ... I especially liked the haremlik ... of course you can’t wander there yourself ... only with a guide ... and it’s almost impossible to understand what he says (although I was with a friend, who knows Turkish well) and read a lot before the trip ... but I liked the fact that you can see the situation there ... life ... everything is put in its place as it was in the time of the sultans ... you immediately understand what and where ... tulle, candlesticks, tables, beds ... all splendor ... because topkapi is big and you walk there yourself ... but there really is nothing (well, in comparison with Dolmabahce) .... we were in at the end of May, there weren’t very many people .. it’s impossible to take pictures inside there anyway ... they approached ... we looked ... the group only walks about 10-15 people ... after it the next group ... so it's up to you .. how many people have so many opinions .. but when I'm in Istanbul, I will definitely take my friends there ...
аватар fedorov13
Thank you, then we'll go :).
аватар tanya-tor
sorry for the mistakes .... and by the way, for example, I felt sorry for the money for Turkazoo ... weakly like that ...

Have a good trip!

I fully agree with Tanya's opinion - I personally liked Topkapi less than Dolmakhbakchi. In Topkapi, the park is beautiful, the views from the wall to the Bosphorus, but the exposition is stupid ... We joined the English-speaking group - it was even interesting, it's still clearer than in Turkish )))
Iberotan-shed took us 1 hour, but Sofia took more than 2, we just liked it there so much that we didn’t want to leave.
The Blue Mosque took 30-40 minutes, no more. So is the Hippodrome - it's small)))
I advise you to include the Karie Museum in the list - we were very impressed. We were there for about 40 minutes.
You definitely do not need a guide in Istanbul - this is a waste of money.
Have a good trip.
Pysy: Oh, how I want to go to Istanbul again...

Listen here! :)
No guide required!!!
Buy the ORANGE GUIDE, ISTANBUL guide.
There you are all scheduled by day and by hour, where to go, what to see, where to eat. You choose your own itinerary. A very useful book.
аватар tanya-tor
ahhh... i want it too!
аватар tanya-tor
by the way, I just went to google maps ... I marked the places where I want to go .... I made a route on my computer ... then I went from the phone ... everything is visible .. everything is marked ... by the way, maps from the site which I threw off the link, also brought it to my places and I had everything at hand all the time .... many went with maps printed, but I knew everything on my phone .. I also downloaded the guidebook to my phone too ... and put the translator ... .and I was happy ...
аватар fedorov13
Many thanks to everyone for the advice. Convinced - I'll be the guide myself :). I'll post the report.
