Check out the Tria Boutique Hotel. Stayed there in December-January 2008-2009. Good location (5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia).

I didn’t rest in Istanbul, only in Marmaris, the Elegance 5 * hotel, the hotel is super, I recommend it.

As an option, it is quite acceptable. http://www.turpravda.com/tr/stambul/Golden_Horn_Sultanahmet-h21685-r19225.html

Four seasons is not bad. but in general, you think about whether it is worth taking such an expensive one, in Istanbul at the hotel you will have a minimum of time, a lot of city tours!

So that's what I think after looking at the prices. You need an inexpensive one, just a bed and hot water. Better to spend money on a tour.

on excursions, you can travel around everything on your own, just pay for entrance tickets, have a guide with you (I had one in electronic form somewhere). You can order a guide in advance, but I don’t know how quickly you will find it. Well, there are a lot of hostels in Sultanahmet. write to me in a personal, I will send you links what and how, if you wish. there will be a bed, hot water (even showers and toilets) and breakfast :)

Oh, how cool, about the guide. Can I please? So the purpose of the trip is to get to Istanbul on our own, to settle down more or less civilly ourselves and to see how much we have time. As much as I read, who liked the city, they say you can return there endlessly.
