Which of the things you need to take with you for a vacation in September in Yaremche?
For the first time we are going on vacation to the Carpathians. What do you need to take with you from things for a holiday in September in Yaremche? What is the weather like there at this time of the year? warm or cold?

The weather there is also unstable in summer (we rested many times in June-July), so take more warm clothes, and be sure to wear rubber boots (because you get tired of drying) + raincoat (an indispensable thing), warmer socks. And do not forget about the good mood! Great vacation!!!

We rested in the Carpathians in September for several years in a row. And the weather was different. During the day it can be hot in the sun, and the nights are cold. And in the mountains, the weather can change several times a day. Either the sun, or cold wind and rain. Rubber boots are very necessary thing. But you can buy them on the spot. Take both summer and warm clothes. Be sure to have a windbreaker and raincoat. And, of course, comfortable walking shoes.

I rested in October many times. My advice is comfortable shoes with good grip (I don’t know how to explain :), but not rubber boots - I took it for the whole family - it’s impossible to walk in the mountains, it’s not a swamp - these are mountains, but from the mountains you need then go down ... But half boots with lacing and a sole with pimples are a great thing.

Do not take heavy raincoats - they also lay in the house - they were never dressed. When it rains, it's better to go to the sauna :) In the forest, rain is a terrible thing. A water-repellent light jacket with a hood is better, if you already got it. Do not take too much warm clothes - it will become hot in the mountains from the ascent - dress in such a way that you can easily take something off.

"pimple soles are great"?, and who told you that raincoats have to be heavy?

liliana odessa, in fact, rubber boots are designed to walk on mud, on water, and then they can be easily cleaned, but how will you clean your "lace-up ankle boots"?

Stanya2008, do you have any personal quibbles with me? If you walk in slippery rubber boots in the mountains - God help you, I walk in more comfortable shoes. In the mountains, for your information, there is no water and mud. There are stones, protruding roots, etc. Climb the mountains, and then write advice - just to write.

Dear Liliana Odessa, nothing personal, no nit-picking! In my opinion, in my personal experience, rubber boots are great for mountain climbing. To each his own. And as for advice: if I didn’t climb mountains, I wouldn’t give advice, I don’t write “just to”!

Hiking boots (one-day hikes in the mountains on a light or with a light backpack) should not be heavy and high. When walking with a light backpack, this makes no sense. The main thing for such boots is a comfortable last, an average shaft height (the so-called "mid" mid class) and the correct "average" sole stiffness. In rubber boots, there is practically no sole, and indeed pads. There is no grip with the ground. As a result, you will simply fall down the mountain or dislocate your ankle.

It is best to walk in the mountains in shoes with a Gore-tex membrane and vibram soles. But we still had to buy rubber boots in Yasiny. It rained every day, and we didn’t want to sit at home. The Carpathians are clay mountains. I didn’t really want to. But you shouldn’t take rubber boots with you. If you need it, buy it there. The most optimal clothes are a T-shirt, a light fleece sweater, a windbreaker (preferably with a membrane).

Thank you very much! Do you need autumn jackets?
аватар Yuliya_U
I think not. But it's better to check the weather forecast before the trip.

At the expense of shoes: we will look for a compromise - rubber shoes with pimples :)

You don’t have to worry too much about shoes. We went to Hoverla in ordinary sneakers. But after rain, you can’t walk on wet grass in ordinary shoes for a long time. So order sunny weather. Have a nice acquaintance with the Carpathians!
