In Egypt, only cotton of decent quality (t-shirts, T-shirts, pareos, beach dresses, towels) and hibiscus tea (take the one in buds), a souvenir is sold in any hotel (usually more expensive) or shops near hotels. Normal quality shoes are not there as well as swimwear.

When there is room in my suitcase, I buy large beach towels with the image of the Sphinx, Neffertiti, maps of the Red Sea, etc. as gifts for friends. They are really big - 165x95 (now I measured them on purpose), not thick and dark colors, very good for baths and saunas :)) Usually you can bargain for 5 dollars. Ordinary towels and the house is full! And these are like a memory and a good present!
