It so happened to me once that I need to be in Milan urgently and accordingly book one hotel for 3 days under a tourist visa. No problem, they offered to leave the luggage in a special room, then dinner before leaving. For 3 stars - I did not expect such a service!! The secret is very simple - the staff is young, learn to work in order to gain experience and then go to 4 stars! The downside of the hotel is that the rooms are small but very comfortable..
