Can you tell me if a visa to Italy will be opened if the trip abroad is the first one??
I want to visit Italy in the spring by bus tour. Is this possible if you haven't gone anywhere yet?

Yes, they will open it (even if you are single), but if you have good financial security: permanent work with a salary of 4000 UAH or more, (there must be a continuous work experience of six months or more), real estate ownership (an apartment, a country house, a land plot), a car (at least the middle class), the presence of a bank account and a card that serves it.
If you are traveling by car, then it makes sense for you to open a visa through the embassy of the country of first entry (Poland, Hungary). There are more loyal conditions.
Everyone goes abroad for the first time. Do not worry! Good luck!

There are a lot of factors influencing whether they see you as a potential defector or not, and the presence / absence of other visas is far from the most important. A whole range of factors are taken into account. An Italian visa in a clean passport is fine.
But most likely, your bus tour will not be on an Italian visa. Probably Hungary, Slovakia, something like that

The phrase is wrong! It only matters if there are two Schengen countries with the same maximum number of days of stay - then the consulate of the country of entry to the Schengen is selected.
Example. The trip is 20 days. Poland is a country of entry and exit to the Schengen area. 2 a.m. Germany - 18 nights, main host country.
Your documents will not be accepted at the Polish consulate! You are required to open a German visa. And the country of entry is Poland.
Example 2. trip - 6 days. 3 nights Poland, 3 nights Germany. Or there, or there it seems as possible. But, if you arrive in Germany, then go to the German Consulate. If you enter Poland, then for a visa to the Polish consulate.
Here the truth is the bus and the visa will most likely not be Italian

hatinka, Unfortunately, you were mistaken. I am writing from my own experience. Do not confuse novice tourists. That's why this is a Schengen visa, that it is valid in all countries of the Schengen zone. You need to open a visa according to the country of entry OR! (rather than "I") by the country of greatest stay.
In the end, they confirmed my answer.
Maybe the one who asked for a European tour and hotels will be booked in each country, and they will come to Italy for just a couple of days (she herself went on a Hungary-Austria tour, 2 nights each in Budapest and Vienna). The visa was opened, of course, Hungarian. Although at first we went to Austria, we arrived from Austria to Budapest, from Budapest we went home.
If we knew the route of the questioner in more detail, we would be able to answer more accurately.
Although the essence of the question is not this, but whether they will open a visa with a clean passport.

Sorry, but you are wrong. If a bus tour is booked, then the visa is opened for the country where there are more days of stay. Such tours are mainly planned in such a way as to open the visa of the most loyal country.
аватар travelsita
The most loyal countries for us are the countries of the former socialist camp (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia). We have land borders with them, and therefore these will be the countries of first entry.
We are back to my first answer.
Most likely, this is a group tour, the agency will arrange everything so that there are fewer refuseniks and will submit documents to our neighboring countries.
аватар hatinka
The agency does not submit according to the first country of entry, they have just a lot of countries in a few days and the main country can be done in different ways, depending on the need. No wonder they often spend the night in Slovakia, but travel around Austria. In the same way, there are many tours on a Czech visa, although it cannot be the first country of entry.
The basis for applying to a particular consulate is the main country of visit. All this is described in the species code, which is the primary source.
You generally advise autotourists to open a visa in the country of first entry. Just mislead novice tourists with this phrase. But in any case, they were simply not served by the visa center if they ask for a Hungarian visa and rest in Italy for 3 weeks.
аватар hatinka
And at the expense of loyalty, who cares. I cannot call the Poles loyal, especially the 2008-2009 sample. Like a prison, the contingent in the queues was still the same.
The most loyal seemed to be the Hungarians and the French.
Everything that is connected with the Polish consulate personally causes only negative for me. But these were my first visas and then I simply had nothing to compare with.
I have the opposite situation - I visit Poland on other, non-Polish visas)))

Topicaster! Specify whether you really will do Italian under the bus tour! Most likely Hungary and then your question disappeared by itself)
аватар hatinka
Travelsita, I am calm that you are a tourist! Your nickname is like a travel agent and there were already thoughts to spare you a little ;-)
If there is an EQUAL number of days in several countries, then look at the country of entry. Only in this case and all! In the rest, only by the number of days (according to the fact of overnight stays in hotels) and not the first country of entry!!!
See examples above! Good luck!

Auto RU.
Pick a tour first.
Hatinka is right, if there are several countries on the tour, then the visa of the country with the most nights in the hotel opens. It does not depend on the country of entry or exit.
The main thing in a visa is a permanent, normally paid job and financial security. But in some consulates there is a nuance - unmarried young ladies are sometimes refused.
аватар travelsita
hatinka, why are you so angry at the Poles? I just opened a visa in 2008. From financial security there was only a certificate from work. There was only a passport with a Turkish visa. They opened it without problems (I submitted documents through an agency, and not personally). In Poland they were passing through (without an overnight stay), then the Czech Republic 4 nights, and Germany 2 nights. HERE IS THE COUNTRY OF THE FIRST ENTRY! Based on what you wrote earlier, they should have opened a visa for me at the Czech consulate, but they opened it in POLISH. (Tour operator - Ak-d tr, Lvov, has accreditation in the Polish consulate in Lvov) Draw your own conclusions, Lord!

Because I went to Poland with my friends by car, to walk and have fun, but I had to take a queue at night, hang around there along with all sorts of hucksters, builders and other very strange personalities who obviously went to work in not the most prestigious positions. In short, illiterate, dumb men and women. The impression was that we alone go there as tourists. Well, the attitude towards them was boorish, towards us too, for the company. Some kind of showdown for places in the queue, name-calling of the Pole who opens the door of the consulate. Greed in one word...
travelsita, you will forgive me, of course. But you really don’t know anything about opening visas ;-)
Their firm opened for you, not you. Accord, like other operators, has plenty of opportunities to put any of their partners in your booking package - if they really need you, they will "make it" all nights in Poland.
Yes, and what can I say, if I want to, I will book in Hungary for 2 weeks, I will sign where I want to go, then I will take off the reservation and hello Spain. But we are talking about an honest receipt. Where we go, we go there.
So, if you yourself book Germany for a week, and Poland for 2 days and go to the Poles to prove something about the country of first entry, you will be sent ... to the Germans))

Hatinka! travelsita, you will forgive me, of course. But you don't really know anything about opening visas ;-). Do I not know? Read the question carefully! And here is a personal presentation, when the author of the question is going on a bus (and therefore group) tour? Submission of documents, for sure, through an agency, and those, in turn, will open through the easiest consulate (Poland, Hungary, Slovakia.) And, before accusing anyone of ignorance, you need to start with yourself.
When a question is asked regarding the personal submission of documents for an individual tour, your advice will be very helpful, otherwise they are not appropriate.
аватар hatinka
travelsita, read the entire thread from the beginning ;-)
I answered the Topicaster quite briefly and to the point. And communication with you began with the fact that you advised autotourists to open visas in the country of first entry! And the discussion of all this began precisely with my disagreement with one of your phrases. This is what we mumble.
I explained everything in my first post with examples.

Of course, you will forgive me, but zhelstvo,
these are your statements and attitude towards people whom you call "hucksters, illiterate, dumb men and women and other very strange personalities"
These people are standing in these lines not because they have nothing to do, but because they need something to live on and feed their families. And it's not their fault that they don't have any other income, how to go and work for PANA or bring in a block or two of cigarettes in order to earn a couple of hryvnias.
I stood in these queues more than once and saw these people.
And if this is discomfort for you, then contact the intermediaries, then you don’t have to go anywhere at all, and they will bring the visa straight home.
Good luck!
аватар hatinka
RBK2012, I agree that those people, it seems, are not to blame, but I won’t burn with love in them simply because they have nothing to live on and therefore you need to listen to the mats and watch how they write in front of the consulate to the clinic.
I'm not going to respect hucksters who sell insurance under consulting, I'm not going to respect those who grab their sleeves and offer to work abroad, I'm also not going to respect those who make visas illegally (intermediaries, according to you), I'm not going to to respect the employees of the consulate, who in those days behaved like a zhlob and very condescending to the Ukrainians.
And the showdowns in the queues, the sale of places in the queues, the flow of obscenities in conversation - these are already those who, as you say, have nothing to live on.
All this as a whole is zhlobstvo-I will not refuse my words. If you think that this is how it should be and in fact everything is fine, ok!
I found another way out for myself - to bypass the consulates, through which our migrants of all stripes are trying to leave en masse. As long as it works.
Even the Hungarian consulate made a much more pleasant impression on me (I applied there 3 times).

Maybe something has changed, but for me this house with turrets on Khmelnitsky is still a dead place ;-)

Now everything is clear)))
Now you have clarified who you called rednecks, etc. etc.
Here I agree with you 100%.
аватар alex45
I completely agree with hatinka, but there are two parts in one question: 1. Is it possible to apply for a visa to a person with a clean passport? You can go to any consulate or Visa Application Center, having collected a full set of documents for this (read the originals of the norms that are needed to obtain a visa) and no more, as written by travelsita. If there is no requirement to submit docks for apartments, cars, work for a certain time etc. additional requirements, they are not needed. And they are not required at the consulates, in vain I drove all this for the first time. As a rule, these are TA requirements, easier - reinsurance.
2. Visa for a bus tour. They are made, in the main, by agencies accredited in consulates. And in your opinion, which consulate has more of them? I think not in Italian! from the issuance of visas they have a certain percentage, hence the horror stories about the difficulties of obtaining visas in the old Schengen countries.
Conclusion - it is not difficult to get Schengen visas to the old Schengen countries (Italy, Spain, France, etc.), having collected the scrupulously necessary documents for this according to the visa code, and how you want to go - by bus, car or flying by plane does not play a role, would for this documents.

certainly! no problem if all documents are in order. I was given a visa to Italy when I was a student, on a sightseeing tour, the foreign passport was absolutely clean
