4 days is not enough ((((Take an excursion to the Vatican, organized groups go in a separate queue. I recommend taking a tourist bus for two days. Firstly, save on public transport, and secondly, get a minimum sightseeing tour in an understandable language, in "Thirdly, from morning to evening you will be driven to all the main tourist attractions. You can safely not take tickets to the Colosseum. Enough to see it from the outside. Get ready for the fact that there will always be a crowd of people around the Trevi Fountain and in the Plaza of Spain. For In order to take good photos, you will need to get up early, or walk all night.

Dear Lena! And please advise whether it is worth taking a survey with a guide. And another question on nutrition, where is better and not very expensive. Our breakfasts are included. Thanks

It is not worth taking a sightseeing tour with a guide. Get a tourist bass. There is an audio guide in Russian. You can eat everywhere, away from the sights and the center. see where a lot of the local audience is sitting. I ate only coffee and ice cream in Rome))))))

I'm afraid the child will not eat coffee and ice cream all the time.

Maybe you can advise something else. Everything is interesting, as I understand it, you are a specialist in Italy!

We have recently returned from Rome. The city is a miracle, it's a pity that you have so few days. We started our journey with a double-decker bus, there are 4 options for traveling on it. We chose the middle one, where you can get out many times and sit on it again. For example, we went out at the Trevi Fountain, took a photo (the people there are the sea), and drove on. Then we went out for lunch and again on the trip. We took a lot of photos from above, and then figured out where to go separately.
It will take one day to visit the Vatican. And the rest of the days - two dost-ti per day.
There is a lot of food everywhere, cafes, restaurants, trattorias with any prices. Look at the advertisement of this institution, there are prices and be guided by the place. A cheap option is to take a pizza with you + a drink for the evening.

Thank you! How and where did you buy bus tickets? From English. we don't have much. Have you been on a tour of the Vatican?

Look at the map of these double-decker buses in advance. Or just see a bus on the street (they are of different colors, depending on the route) and follow it to the nearest stop. If he did not stop there, then the ticket seller should still be standing.
We were in the Vatican without an excursion, but at the entrance to Peter's Cathedral we bought a radio guide (put it in Russian), they give a large map of all the statues, you approach it, touch the magnet on the map, they tell you about it. The price of this radio guide is 6 euros.
I advise you to go there early (the Vatican opens at 8 am), there will be few people, then you won’t be crowded.

I was in Rome for 3 days before the cruise, naturally this was only enough for a quick overview of Rome, naturally I was near the Vatican (there is not enough day to visit the Vatican). my itinerary didn't match any of the tour bus routes, i took a 3 day pass for public transport, it's cheaper than the tub bass package, but there are maps of rome in the package. Both regular tickets and Tour Bus packages are sold at newsstands, but there are many package distributors, especially at Termini station. In terms of language - do not worry, English is also not native for Italians, in a newsstand in Russian I spoke with a Moldavian seller! Until October, you can find on the Internet the itineraries of the Tour Basses in Rome. You can also take a map of Rome at the reception of your hotel (as a rule).
My trip to Rome is here in Turpravda. If you want, you can find it. There will be questions - in a personal (account).

My story about Rome turned out to be like a guide with adventures for every day. It is called "The Splendor of the Eternal City" http://www.turpravda.ua/it/rim/blog-66060.html

Thank you!

Surely, in your hotel there will be a map of Rome. They are everywhere, in different variations, take them as a keepsake, and they will come in handy on a trip to the sights.
аватар alex45
Do not be surprised if the hotel will tell you about the need for additional payment. The amount is small (I don’t remember the amount, it’s different in different cities, but no more than 5-10 eurekas), I came across this in Rome, and in Venice, and in Genoa. This is the so-called. resort fee or tax.
аватар duhovnayae
in our hotel, I would say that the tax is not small, 4 euros per night. if you consider that there are three people, it turns out well.
аватар alex45
Don't go! Europe is now expensive and not safe! And this collection suited me!
аватар duhovnayae
Well, I don't need your permission! And advice too! And it's not safe only from people like you.
аватар alex45
Oh well! And here it turns out that a person asks for advice, thanks, and as a result is rude, ....."Solid Tagil"!
аватар duhovnayae
I just responded to your attack, and I didn’t even start being rude.
