To the center of what? The hotel is in the northern part of Karon beach, slowly walk to the southern end of the beach - an hour of time. To the ring, the market (not every day), shops - 30 minutes along the coast. It gets dark early and quickly, so you can’t go back in the dark along the beach, nor along the road. I don’t remember the cost of a taxi, but compared to Pattaya, transport is very expensive. I can be wrong, but it seems that any trip within Karon is 200 baht.
