Kata Beach now I would not advise you - a lot of construction nearby. We were in March and somehow it was not very cozy, but now my friends came back and said that work is in full swing there. Graceland is a good hotel and is located on the edge of Patong, so it's quite cozy, the beaches on Patong are not very, but you can go to the neighboring beaches - it's close

But that's not true! We rested in Kata Beach 3 weeks ago - there are no construction sites there, at least those that would be conspicuous and interfere with rest! Getting to Patong is not at all expensive by tuk tuk. At night, it cost us 350 baht - we have to bargain here too.

I can guess what kind of construction your friends had in mind - on the left of Kata beach there is a cape that goes far into the sea and which is washed by water that you can’t go through the sand to it. And a new hotel is being built on this cape. But we noticed this only when we left the beach on scooters. Those. this construction site is visible only from the sea) There is no noise, no view from the beach itself. And about the "greenery is not enough" - is this possible in Thailand!?)))

We took a room category - Deluxe Seaview Room. They were satisfied with them. Very nice view (there is a photo in my review). Balcony. In the room - nothing more than natural, but there is everything you might need, cozy, clean, beautiful.

Do not listen to anyone - go to Kata Beach. Hotel on the first line. Infrastructure across the road. Near everything! Exchange office, restaurants, shops, taxis. The hotel is a great foursome! No construction sites nearby. Quiet, calm and without too much pathos. Graceland stands on the second line, the sea in Patong is muddy everywhere, the beach itself is noisy. There is a Muslim cemetery across the road from Graceland =)))) Imagine, they give you a room with a view of the garden - you come to the room, open the window and .... view of the garden =))) hyhyhy =))
