Good afternoon. I have been to Zanzibar twice. I liked it very much. Excellent Mark. White sand. The violence is very friendly. Massai are handsome. Since April, the rainy season begins, you should not go with your family. Of the places where to go to the hotel, you must clearly choose either the north or the east coast to the middle of the island. I was in two places - the kewengwa hotel "waikiki" is kept by the Italians. And I was up north at the most famous Kendwa Rocks hotel. The first very quiet hotel is small with 15 rooms, everything is family friendly and welcoming. In the second party, the famous disco next to which half of the island comes. Lots of different foreigners. But very lively and interesting. From the entertainment on the island, an excursion to the island of slaves, (I recommend with a child) there are huge turtles that are 200 years old eat from their hands. City tour of Zanzibar. Was on an excursion to the red monkeys. Didn't like it very much. I saw a lot of monkeys and even managed to stroke one, but apart from that there is nothing to look at.
In continuation, I recommend swimming for snorkeling, there are no less fish than in Egypt. Sailed to Bill Gates Island. They will invite you to watch dolphins at sea ... I have not been, but they say that it is tiring. While the dolphins are in many ways daredevils swam with them on the high seas. We booked all excursions on the island through the local company "Eddy Murphy Group". They are on the Internet and on Facebook. You can write to them in advance and arrange excursions, and we always took transport through them for a trip to the city for fruit and shopping. They are very loyal and the prices are not at all high, but at the same time they always know where it is better to call in and what is more interesting to see where. They can meet you at the airport and take you away. Regarding vaccinations - they didn’t do it, they didn’t get sick with anything ... Either they were lucky or .... But probably it should be done a month, of course, before the trip. Good luck and have a good rest!
