Have you been to Zanzibar? Surprisingly, in comparison with, say, the Maldives and Sri Lanka, the prices seem to be interesting now. And they say that white sand and clear water.

Been there. Not cheap, there is nowhere to go from the hotel - around or hotels or poverty. The city itself is gray, gloomy - although it does not interfere with visiting once. The beaches are white, the water is clear, but - let's say in the hotel where I was - a concrete path into the sea, until you enter up to your chest - there is a clearing with sand, which is removed - you won’t enter the sea in other places - sea urchins are a solid carpet and corals. I closed this country for myself after a friend died of yellow fever in terrible agony. TO did not even hint about vaccinations. Recently, Europeans can enter without a certificate, alas. Living there is great. It's full of fruits and greenery. But everyone needs to stock up in Stone Town, as there are only hotels on the coast. They have all sorts of food. You can make a fire, but away from hotels. In general, this is not practiced and is not welcomed. You can put up your tent, the coast is almost empty.
