Last year, in June, there was very clean water, I was even pleasantly surprised! :) Food in the canteen of the base - if you are without culinary pretensions - is suitable, like in Soviet canteens - no frills, but we had enough, since the main goal was - to holidays to the sea :) Meals or immediately order a boarding house or if you don’t want to constantly eat - say in advance that you will either have lunch or dinner and then they will cook for you, and pay after eating! :))) There is another base nearby - at they have a bar on the beach (prices are not canteens) and a dining room on the territory too. If you want something more sophisticated - walk a little along the beach - the city beach will begin, a promenade area with a bunch of cafes and attractions, but there, accordingly, the price order is much higher. There are no grocery stores near the base, you have to go either behind the city beach, but there is little choice or take it with you. If you arrive by train, then there is a direct minibus from the station! I just don't remember the number.
