More likely there will be problems than not) It seems to me that they will not put me on the first flight if this is a tourist trip. If you have a residence permit in Europe, then no problem.
And the thing is that in Milan you need to leave the non-Schengen zone in order to transfer to another plane. Italy does not yet allow this.
I could be wrong, check it out.

You will not be put on a flight, transit can only be in non-Schengen.
