In the mid-1980s, I visited Bulgaria (by bus through Chisinau - Romania-Bulgaria) and for five days we rested in a youth camp on the seashore, we went by bus to Burgas for "seeing and buying". Impressions from the camp and the city are the best. I would love to take my kids to this place. But what is it called now? Is there an opportunity for recreation? Nostalgia tortured, I persuade all relatives to wave to Burgas. And it is in this place that I want to ... M.b., someone, tell me what is the name of this place now and is it possible to relax there?

Burgas is an airport, we flew to Bulgaria through it.

NO. Burgas is not an airport. This is the regional center in our opinion. Quite a decent town for 200 thousand. Burgas itself is not much used as a resort. Near Burgas, there are a lot of coastal resort villages (Sozopol, Nessebar, Primorsko, Pomorie, etc.) All within an hour or two drive. Unlike the historical ones, in my opinion, Burgas has changed little.

Perhaps you have been to Sarafovo. You can rest there even now. Burgas Airport is 5 minutes away. You can go to the city of Burgas by regular bus 1 lev. Food prices are very low. A full meal for two adults costs 10 euros (one serving for two as they are very large). Housing can be rented on the spot. I wish you a pleasant stay. We had a rest with children in early August 2010. We really enjoyed it.
