how not to be disappointed?
For the first time I'm going to Bulgaria to relax on the sea and I'm very afraid of being disappointed, I don't want this vacation to be a la "vacation in the Crimea". I hear a lot of reviews from tourists that last year the sea was dirty and there were a lot of people, noisy, dirty ((I really want this to be not true, since the hotel was chosen good. Reassure me))

Let's try to calm you down. I will say right away that we rested in Bulgaria (Albena) not last year, but several years ago (but I don’t think that the rest there deteriorated for the worse). We went to Nessebar, Balchik, Golden Sands, Sunny Beach. My opinion: Your worries are in vain. Nessebar is a beautiful city-museum and rest in it will definitely be remembered for its special unique atmosphere, we add here your good hotel, tasty, high-quality and inexpensive food (with Crimea neither quality nor quantity (the portions are so huge that I advise you to order carefully the first time, otherwise we , unknowingly, almost half of the order was left untouched) cannot be compared). And then Bulgaria is a very beautiful country, we have the most positive memories from the rest. You definitely won’t get Crimean service there, don’t worry. I don't know if I did or not, but at least I tried. Have a nice rest.

I went to Bulgaria several times, the last time last year to Sozopol, I have the warmest memories and a lot of friends. I went to Nessebar just for a walk, I really liked it - colorful, interesting, I confirm about the size of the portions - huge! And how fun it was to read the menu or signs in Bulgarian! Bring with you a good mood, a smile, small souvenirs and you will be able to relax.

The beaches on the Bulgarian coast are clean and well-groomed. Once I saw mud in the form of algae thrown ashore after a nightly rough sea. And then, in the morning everything was removed. If you do not use the hotel's beach, you should know that the cost of services on the promoted beach is quite tangible. For example, during the season in Golden Sands, renting an umbrella, sunbed is about 20 levs. per day. With regard to Nessebar, this place is simply unique and you will have a lot of impressions.

And we were in Golden Sands 2 times, everything is fine there ... I traveled to Nessebar for a long time, the city itself is really beautiful, but I don’t know what conditions there are in hotels, we lived in an apartment ...
Try it, I think you'll like it, if you don't need Cote d'Azur and Nice.

Bulgaria is a very benevolent country, the sea is pleasant, the only thing that surprised me a little was the ignorance of the Russian language by young people now (there is something to compare with). The older generation speaks it masterfully.
Agree with all opinions.
Have a nice holiday.
