The currency in Bulgaria is the lev. And Bulgaria is in Europe, so there are many countries nearby whose currency is the euro. Well, somehow the dollar is out of place at all, although it is also money, and they change easily. With dollars or euros you can pay for excursions or for accommodation (from private traders). But, as they have already said before me, the local currency is the lev and it is the main one here.
