In 2011 I got into an accident in Bulgaria, not my fault. I had to be nervous. Can you please share if anyone has been in this situation?

So what happened to you? A green card is required, and if an accident occurs, call the insurance company, act as you are told. If there are no victims, draw a diagram together with other participants in the accident and remove the car from the roadway.

I was "hit from behind" in Ter-Bulgaria (it's not my fault). The police drew up a report and said that I would receive compensation in Russia. I thought of it myself and found the culprit's computer page, they said that the culprit bought insurance, but did not pay. I turned to the Green Card office in Sofia, they said that they only insure my answer. The consulate did not provide any help (even informational). Again I went to the str.comp. and said that I was filing for them in Heb. court. Then they said to start a reservoir. card. and they will transfer the money there. I gave the details of my CITY-Bank credit card and said that my visa was running out and I had to leave. They dragged on to the last, until he again threatened with the Court. The car was repaired at his own expense (although it cost less than the amount transferred). In general, nerves frayed!

In Bulgaria, the one behind is not always to blame, this is so, for information. What did the police write on the report? And what does it mean: the culprit bought insurance, but did not pay? Does he have an insurance loan? Or does he just not have it? The Consulate of Russia has nothing to do with the insurance situation. If the consulates interfered with the work of insurance and police, I imagine that it would be in the world! ALL questions you should have addressed with your insurance company. They should have reported the insured event, and they themselves would have dealt with the insurance culprit of the accident. Usually, if the car was repaired by yourself, you collect checks and then submit them to the insurance company, where you bought the Green Card along with the application, even you did not notify them of the case. Carefully read the insurance contract, and do not invent unnecessary claims to the courts.

In the Green Card insurance contract, it is written that property interests are insured that do not contradict the laws of Ukraine (in your case, Russia) associated with compensation by YOU for damage caused to health, property, etc. to the victims. That is, when entering Bulgaria, you are checked for a Green Card policy, so that if you are at fault, the insurance company will pay for you the damage caused to local people, cars, etc. The rest - according to the laws of Bulgaria - I can’t say for sure here, I need to consult, but I understand that your Russian policy must be valid.

I don’t know if I explained clearly, but in my opinion, your actions are like fighting windmills. By the way, the presence or absence of insurance of the driver responsible for the accident should have been checked by the police, not you, and fined if he did not have one. Everywhere there are comrades who travel without insurance.

Natasha! The guilt of the "rear" was proved by the police, because he squeezed into the stream behind me, he was hit in the "zh-u" by a car, and he drove into me. A green card covers MY liability to other road users. Unfortunately, in Bulgaria you can buy insurance for a year with installment payments (that is, you have insurance on hand (paper) but it is not valid because you did not pay further premiums. And this is very common in Bulgaria. The defendant's insurance company (which I found it myself) delayed the payment of money to the last. Immediately after the accident, I called the office of RESO and Green Card in Sofia, but they said that this issue had not been resolved at the international level. The fact is that I need to leave, go through four borders, but on a faulty car it is not possible! You can put the car in the service, but after two weeks (a lot of cars are waiting in line). Fortunately, the Bulgarian owner helped me with this, from whom we have been renting apartments for 6 years now, the repair was done by his familiar owner car service center (in Nessebar). Fast, high quality and not expensive! The police, of course, must check the insurance, but not the timeliness of payment for it, and then, when there is a foreigner in an accident, the "native police" - you yourself understand. . . .

well, what can you do? My husband is Bulgarian and we live in Ukraine. You can’t imagine what we have suffered here with cars, customs clearance, traffic accidents, traffic cops and other joys of life. Not to mention the car service - yes! In Bulgaria, the issue of car repair is solved much easier, faster, cheaper than in Kyiv. We were once in the mountains, going down the serpentine to the town of Sapareva Banya, and some kind of belt broke on the car. We barely went down to the town on the brakes, and immediately the first person we met helped us drag the car to a car mechanic, with whom we even lived for 1 day (until the necessary parts were bought). But we saw a geyser! In Bulgaria, cars already cost a penny, so they are not particularly insured - for 500 euros you can buy a car on the go. I agree with you about the police, etc. Not everything is perfect with them, unfortunately.

But anyway, in 2012 I will go to Bulgaria by car! After all, this way I can stay in Odessa for a day and light it up with my friends like this .....

28.06. In 2016, an accident occurred on the road Varna - Burgas - I am enclosing the report of the Bulgarian police No. 1527669.
The culprit was fined by the police on the spot, they gave me a protocol.
RENAULT car 19 state number Driven - the attached police report contains all the necessary information.
Hit from behind my car state number
ALL Photos attached to letters.
I started a correspondence with the insurance company [email protected] - they first wrote WAIT, then suddenly changed the appearance of the SITE and I was informed that they do not deal with car insurance. Then they started blocking my emails.
What to do? It turns out that we can be beaten on the roads abroad and we cannot find justice.
Now I have returned home to Ukraine, Kharkiv.
I ask you to resolve the issue of reimbursement for the repair of my car.
Vehicle repair receipt attached.
Should I attach an account number in the Bank of Bulgaria or in Ukraine?
