Help me choose Sunny Beach or Golden Sands?
We want to go with my husband (we are 45) and daughter (14) next summer, but I can’t decide what to choose Z. Peski or S. Bereg ... if Z.P., then which hotel would you recommend (not far from the sea, with decent conditions, but with acceptable prices!

Good day! I don’t know anything about Golden Sands yet, but a trip to Sunny Beach or Sveti Vlas will not disappoint you (and even more so your daughter). There are a lot of young people from all over Europe here. We visited Bulgaria for the first time last year and were not disappointed with the rest and moved here for permanent residence. Have been to Spain. Croatia, Egypt, Turkey. But there is a lot of good and affordable here: the sea, prices for everything, starting with fruits and berries. Specify the level of acceptable prices and my wife and I will tell you.

I will briefly tell you about the resorts, and you decide. And kozyrog writes correctly, you need to know your budget in order to advise. And also, in what month and for how many days you are going. Sunny Beach: this is a huge resort, like a city, with heavy traffic, traffic lights. First line. on the embankment, you can’t take it there, it’s sooo noisy. But you can choose a good hotel in the second row at an affordable price. The beaches are not bad, there are paid zones, and there are free ones. Some hotels have very decent food, but not all. Read reviews. Golden Sands is a youth party resort, very noisy and very expensive. There are decent hotels, but they are not cheap. The beaches are good, but sunbeds and umbrellas are the most expensive. St. Constantine is the greenest resort with mineral springs. There are problems with the beaches, not all are good. But you can choose a hotel. Again, you need to know your budget. Albena - the best beaches of the coast. Green, honey. In some hotels, you would all really like it, but there you have to take all-inclusive, it's more profitable. We don’t go to Golden Sands, once was enough. But some like it. Read the reviews again.

my opinion is of course sunny beach, you can choose a good hotel in the second row at an affordable price. The beaches are not bad, there are paid zones, and there are free ones. Some hotels have very decent food, but not all. Read reviews.
we really liked it in isolation, the hotel is beyond praise, we are 46, my wife is a little younger and our son is 15 years old, it was cozy and fun there. want to know more write

this year we went to the golden sands, we really liked it. indeed, as mentioned above, the party resort. but it's cool to have discos everywhere during the day on the beach (but not everywhere, in general, it's quiet there. there's just a disco zone) at night on the street. But I wouldn't say it's noisy. We lived in a 3-star hotel in Pliska. I can’t say that it’s just super, but we liked it, but it was cheap. We were quiet on the street. I will say that on the first line, too, it seems to be not noisy. The movement of cars is minimal. people mostly European, we came across mostly Germans. there are almost no Russians. I’ll tell you about such advantages as such that you can safely walk at night, in whatever condition no one will rob you, everything is calm. the Germans are noisy but never rowdy. even at discos, even in a hotel, even on the street. it was just fun. I can write the exact streets where it is not necessary to take hotels

Once upon a time, when choosing a resort in Bulgaria, I read that the RFP per unit of beach strip accounts for the largest number of hotels and, accordingly, vacationers ... Ie. this is the "closest" resort in terms of the beach. After this information, I don’t want to go there ... Write a budget, what you want for food and for the hotel (size, infrastructure) and for relaxation (closer to the party, where it’s quieter, etc.) and they will help you with the choice !

Yes, I'm sorry, we didn't sunbathe on the beach. sunbathing near the pool and went to the beach to swim. I can't say anything about this

What can you say about the hotels of S.B. Trakia Trakia Plaza, Neptune Beach, Globe?
аватар valeraevstrat
trakia is an excellent hotel, by the way, there is a youth supermarket nearby, there are the lowest prices
аватар irina_1901
Trakia is a complex of 3 hotels and they are all different in terms of comfort and food.
аватар Maie
Trakia or Trakia Plaza?
аватар irina_1901
The complex consists of hotels: Trakia 3*, Trakia Plaza 4* and Trakia Garden 3*. They share a common infrastructure. But Trakia Garden on half board, drinks at dinner are paid. The other 2 hotels are all inclusive, but Trakia 3* is better than Trakia Plaza in my opinion. My recommendation is the Laguna Garden 4 * hotel, everything is fine there. If it's expensive, then take Longoza 4 *, it's cheaper, but it's far from the center.
аватар irina_1901
Sorry, the hotel I recommend is called Laguna Park. Confused with Albena. And from Trakiya the most comfortable Trakiya Garden, it is quieter there.
аватар olga17477
Neptune Beach is also good, but Laguna Park would be better. According to the Globe, they say different things ... From Trakia - Trakia 3 (if All) or Trakia Garden. Good hotels are Rio Helios (All ultra), Majestic (HB), Helena Park and Helena Sands (HB), but this is a completely different price category. If you want to be completely budget, we were in Aurelia for breakfast this year, there is my review. True, I won’t say that they saved a lot without taking All, my “boys” “ate” all the difference with great pleasure))).
аватар Maie
And if you choose which one to prefer - Laguna Park or Trakia 3? To the sea, if it's real, how much to go from each of them? And do they differ greatly in prices?
аватар irina_1901
Laguna Park is better both in terms of location and nutrition. The sea is the same - 7 minutes walking distance, but on different beaches. About the same price as Laguna - Tiara Beach, it is even better in service, but further from the center. Mazhestik, Helena - good hotels, but too unreasonably expensive. For such a price, I would rather take Kaliakra in Albena, the resort is much better. Neptune is a good hotel. Globus I would not recommend, very noisy.
аватар ovkomissarova
Trakia Garden will be quieter, this hotel has a separate area from Trakia and Trakia Plaza, we did not have access to their water park. The location is not bad, close to stops, car rental, not far from the sea, the rooms are simple, but rather big. The biggest downside is the food. I don't know how food can be spoiled like that and how this can be given to people. From fruits in August they gave one thing: more often apples, hard nectarines or tasteless melons, a couple of times there was a watermelon.
аватар Maie
And what can you say about Neptune? It seems to be right on the beach .. And how is it in terms of service? Or is all its advantage only in a good location?
аватар irina_1901
Neptune is a good service hotel, but it can be noisy there, I don’t know, we didn’t take it. We always try to take a little away from the embankment, because it is always noisy on it.

I never listen to anyone's advice unconditionally. No one can visit all the hotels as a tourist to appreciate all the advantages or disadvantages. I follow the following hotel search algorithm.
1. I determine the approximate date of departure and the duration of the rest.
2. I determine the price limits for the cost of the tour, depending on the meal option.
3. I choose 3-4 tour operators and look for hotel options on their websites.
3. Based on these options, I choose 7-8 hotels and look for reviews on them for the last 2 years. And I determine what suits me in these hotels, and what shortcomings I will either put up with or never accept. Location (you can find a map of the resort on the Internet) not only in relation to the sea, but also to railway stations, places of entertainment, ATMs, hotel service, food quality, cleaning and condition of the rooms, staff attitude, staff knowledge of the Russian language. If 3/4 of the reviews suited me, then I considered something out of 3-4 options according to other criteria.
This tactic has never let me down either in Spain, where I have been 4 times, or in Turkey, or in Croatia, or in Egypt (2 times). My wife and I have always been ready for certain disadvantages or advantages.
For example, here in Bulgaria we chose Fiesta.
аватар kozyrog
I will continue. Why we chose Fiesta.
1. It is adjacent to the beach. The choice between paid sunbeds on the beach was in favor of free sunbeds by the pool. And the sea is only 40 meters.
2. Located in a quiet place without discos and bars nearby.
3.Reviews satisfied us. Including knew that the shower there was not in showers.
But we will not go to Bulgaria for vacation anymore.
WE NOW LIVE IN BULGARIA IN SAINT VLAS.
аватар irina_1901
Yes, tastes are certainly different, but Fiesta is one of the worst SB hotels. Our relatives got stuck there without consulting. They say that vacation is gone.
аватар kozyrog
To each his own. Some people don't like small diamonds. Have you been there yourself? What exactly did they get into? And if they didn’t want to get stuck, then they would take Helena, who is nearby. She was praised both last year and this year by those living there.
аватар irina_1901
Why Helena, she's too expensive. There are very decent hotels on the SB and cheaper. But they did not like the boorish attitude and inedible food. They did not suspect that it would be so, and I could not tell them anything about this hotel, because. I haven't been there and don't intend to. And we are going to Tiara Beach. Good hotel.
аватар kozyrog
I knew that the Fiesta was not very flattering about food, so we only took breakfast. But pancakes, omelettes were prepared quite edible. Fruit was limited but we bought from various places away from the beach. The boorish attitude of the staff was not noticed. The maids, if I returned to the room during cleaning, immediately left and returned to continue cleaning. Moreover, when the son dropped his phone on the couch in the hall, he returned 15 minutes later and found it at the reception. All our questions were answered there. True, not all administrators know Russian. But we understood each other. And we had lunch and dinner in Burgas, and in Sveti Vlas, and in Sunny Beach. They were not attached to the hotel.
We were at Fiesta Beach. There is also Fiesta M. Maybe we are writing about different Fiesta?
аватар irina_1901
No, Fiesta Beach. And we were last summer in Selena-2, in the second row behind Helena. The hotel is inexpensive, on half board, but very quiet, always free umbrellas and sunbeds by the pool, and 5 minutes from the sea.

I don’t understand .... The Bulgarian coast is not only SB and ZP. Why can't other resorts be considered? And then, I would run very far away from all inclusive. Because as you go to work, you go to that restaurant every day 5 times. At a time when you can go to different restaurants and eat normal food. In September I was at the Sunny Day resort, all inclusive. I don't want no more! There was no swell, there was no real moussaka, there were no watermelons !!! Juice is pornography - a divorced yupee. I even got tired of bread. And the children, when they came to their grandmother - my mother-in-law, she is Bulgarian - ate everything unquestioningly, before that they didn’t eat anything at the hotel except for boiled eggs and cake
