Hello, Everyone! I am asking for advice or recommendations. We want to go to Bulgaria for ten days, 2 adults / husband and wife / and 2 children 4 years old / twins /, we are from Chisinau, by our own car, in the first half of August. We are going to Bulgaria first time, interested in three coasts; Albena, Kranevo, Golden Sands. Waiting for your answers, BULGARIA SPECIALISTS. Thank you.

Contact Igor_m personally - this is the best autotourist, especially in Bulgaria (coasts; Albena, Kranevo, Golden Sands to Turkey)

Thank you.

Laricom5, I already blushed with embarrassment, thanks for the compliment!

nicoralena, I would choose Albena, the beach is good, the prices are lower than in the RFP, there are fewer people, and the children will be fine there. In fact, I have been to all resort places in Bulgaria from Durankulak to Tsarevo, but not in hotels, but exploring Bulgaria, stopping for a few hours in each of the places (by car this is not a problem). Yes, besides, I'm a fidget, "seal" holidays are not for me. And Poola will tell you about hotels best of all. Feel free to ask!

Igor_m can add that Igor_m is the best connoisseur of the Turkish coast (beaches, hotels, etc.) for car tourists.

From what you suggested, I would choose Albena, or Kranevo, if cheaper, but not like Golden Sands. Albena has the best beaches, you can choose a good hotel right on the beach. I don’t know hotels in Albena and I support igor_m’s advice to contact Poola, she knows Albena well, she will advise.

Igor_m. You are a super-tourist! Have you traveled to Croatia? If you drive from Split to Dubrovnik, you will see the unwritten beauty. Islands are a separate issue. BUT! The mountain roads of Croatia are no joke!!!

We've already talked. Of course, I am also for Albena, but there is one trick. In Albena, the rooms are small and they will not be accommodated in the standard. Apartments are expensive. In an inexpensive and good hotel Amelia, 2 rooms nearby are inconvenient for them. While we stopped at Kranevo, the Margarita hotel, apartments or studios. Kranevo is a continuation of Albena, but simpler. As for the price, then, for example, 2 rooms in Amelia and an apartment in Kranevo - that's about what it will come out. Here you need to take into account good food in Albena, fruits on the buffet, natural juices, free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, the cleanliness of the beaches, children's entertainment. We personally checked, it turned out the same. True, we ate in Kranevo in decent restaurants. It's interesting to hear other opinions though.

Laricom5, stop praising me, otherwise I'll get spoiled, although I'm not a gift anyway.
Poola, I haven’t been to Croatia, but I’m stubbornly preparing for a trip to Italy (with a week-long vacation at an agro-farm in Tuscany), and five days in Corsica and Sardinia. where is great too.
nicoralena , you will surely succeed if you prepare it a little on your own, using the experience of experienced people. You will drive about 600 km, i.e. about 10 hours (considering the composition of the crew) through Leuseni, Khushi, Byrlad, bypassing Galati and Braila, in Vizira or Bereganul, go left to Constanta through Hershova or Fetesti, respectively, then through Mangalia (by the way, good places to stay) to Vama Veche and you are in Bulgaria. I wouldn’t book anything in advance, but when I arrived at the place in a couple of hours I found a suitable hotel or apartment. It would be more reliable and cheaper, but it’s up to you. min in Durankulak last year)

Thank you very much to everyone who responded, we talked with Poola and I will still stop at Kranevo, the Margarita hotel, the hostess offered me a good price for the month of August, for a large room / bedroom, sofa and folding chair / -340 euros for breakfast, you Igor_m, you advise not to book in advance, but I'm afraid that in the first half of August it will be harder to pick up something for our four. Parking for a car is free. How?
аватар Igor_m
Hooray!! The first time it should be so. on the border of Ialoveni and Straseni districts. Greetings to beautiful Moldova and have a good rest!
аватар lenuta
By the way, I also liked Albena very much, but there food is "All inclusive" almost everywhere, and they consider children "good", we have a high season and it goes for 1000 euros without a road, without parking and something else you need to have with you. A bit expensive for Bulgaria, and the kids are still small, you never know what's wrong, jump into the car and go home.
P.S. It’s a pity that Ukraine is closed, and even Moldovans can’t go to Crimea, but there is a wonderful place in Crimea, called Satera, several summer cottages, a pioneer camp and 2 restaurants, CLASS. We rested there for 4 years in a row before the birth of children. From the beginning of the week in Koblevo , and then for 2 weeks in Sateru. Like this. Good luck to all.

Okay, LET'S BEEP, in a couple of months, God forbid that everything goes well !!!

I never risk going without prior reservation. You never know what. There was an appeal directly to the hostess, without TA. So the price will not go down. Only now will receive a 10% discount for early bookings. Good luck. For those who also travel by car, I also advise you, if you go through Nessebar, to stay for a couple of days at the inexpensive Orphey Hotel. Very well located, friendly hosts. But you need to negotiate in advance, usually the hotel is full.
аватар lenuta
Thanks for the advice, Margarita gives me a 14% discount, pay before April 7 30% and our number.
And to Nessebar, maybe next year in September, for the whole month.
аватар irinavladnik
Can I have a question? 340 euros is for how long? Didn't understand
аватар lenuta
This is for 10 nights, the first half of August, with breakfast for 2 adults + 2 children.
аватар irinavladnik
Great

The price is good, but it’s problematic to look at landscaping in Kranevo, there are very few trees, it’s somehow deserted, a bunch of construction sites, it’s a bit like Sergeevka, compared to Albena, for a hot August this is a problem.
аватар irina_1901
Yes, there is not much greenery in Kranevo. I did not see any construction projects in the area of Margarita and the center. Everything has already been built. The greenest resorts are St. Konstantin and Elena and Albena. But the prices are different. Cheap in Albena - Lora without air conditioning, Dorostor - bad hotel, Dobruja old rooms without air conditioning and balcony. And on St. Constantine - a good private hotel Villa Marciana, 700 m from the sea. So everything has its price. And ask in your TA about Amelia in Albena. Maybe there is an option when 2 rooms are connected by a door. In Albena they do this sometimes. Or ask directly at the hotel. It would be perfect for you. And food for children is calculated as half of an adult, only for babies free of charge, in my opinion up to 2 years. But for sure everyone will be full, and there are a lot of sweets for children, and fruits. Nothing else will be needed. Think again.

nicoralena You wrote "It's a pity that Ukraine is closed" - did not understand where and when?
аватар irinavladnik
Igor, but I'm interested in a question of a different kind. What about buddy's minibus? Found?
аватар Igor_m
No, as well as documents - everything! Came back with the help of the consul on the bus with his wife, two children and a dog! "Authoritative" acquaintances in Bulgaria said that the Romanians did it.
аватар lenuta
Yes, I'm still thinking about Albena, in our TA they said to wait until April, there may be good offers from hotels.
P.S. About Ukraine, in the sense that it is very dangerous to drive your own car, but this is not on this site. Sorry.
аватар Igor_m
Why not on this site? The security issue is the main one when traveling to other countries and it should be discussed first of all, and rooms, hotels, etc. in the background. And why did you decide that it is dangerous for Moldovans? For example, last week, in Podil, a "Hammer" with numbers from the Moscow region hit a Kiev passenger car, demolished a road sign and stopped on the steps of a store. Everything was decided amicably on the spot without the police, the Muscovites left without any complications. And I see dozens of Moldovan and Transnistrian cars in Kyiv every day.
аватар irinavladnik
Wow trip at your buddy! How much money is missing. The car itself, things, documents. I think they were shocked by such a holiday! Horror!
аватар lenuta
I’m not talking about this, driving through Transnistria towards Odessa or through lighthouses, old Cossacks, on the territory of Ukraine, bandits are operating, taking cars and all other property, and they also said that, at recreation centers or on the beach, they can come up to clean their pockets, well, so on, it was like that in that year, I don’t know, maybe the law enforcement agencies took control of the situation in this. And it’s how lucky five drove well, and two were unlucky, if you have friends in TA, ask how much the arrival of vacationers to the Ukrainian expanses from outside Moldova, by the way, that's why Bulgaria has risen in price by an order of magnitude. And I'm not going to take risks with small children, even for free !!! And as for the Crimea, entry into the territory is only with the permission of the Ukrainian side. That's it.
аватар irinavladnik
To the author of the question, book Albena, you will not regret it. Perfect with kids

You know how good it is on the Budak Spit, the sea is clean, dolphins swim, the sand is white, the prices are ridiculous, it’s 3 hours for us and we are there, delicious Ukrainian food / I myself am a khokhlushka / the only drawback is mosquitoes. Until there is order, neither foot nor wheel .We have many friends in Ukraine, starting from Kotovsk and Red Windows to Kyiv.

In Koblevo it’s great for young people, parties until the morning, an amusement park, a water park, the sea is not so hot but salty, we miss you, we remember with delight.
