Help me choose a resort
Good afternoon!
We are planning a family (child 2.3) to go to Bulgaria for 2-3 weeks. Help me decide on a resort. Of course, I would like it to be a quiet, relaxing holiday, given the age of the baby (around 10 pm he is already sleeping), but at the same time, so that it is not an abandoned place))) so that there are water parks or some kind of other joys for a baby of this age.
I'm looking at Obzor and St. Konstantin and Elena. But, I will make a reservation, I have never been to Bulgaria, so everything is by typing. Therefore, I will be very glad to everyone who responded!
Thank you in advance!

Good afternoon.
Of course, I can be wrong, but as for me, if there are “water parks or some other joys for the baby” nearby, there will be no peace ... There will be discos, attractions, etc., and all this will work as long and noisy as possible . Therefore, you still have to choose between calmness, silence and a beautiful beach for children, or ... Another important factor is your budget ... In general, I won’t bore you for a long time - look at the settlement "Albena" ... If you really try, then you can find everything there, in the full sense of the word .. If you are not afraid of a distance of 4 km (on the road) and 2 km along the beach, you can find something for yourself in the neighboring village of Kranevo. According to Kranevo, I can give contacts of a private hotel.

Sorry, I didn’t understand what 4 km along the road and 2 km along the beach means))?
And another question, what is at least a very approximate budget to have in order to have a good rest? I mean hotel 5 for all inclusive, well, plus with you for all sorts of entertainment) (I apologize in advance for the stupid question, I haven’t rested anywhere for a long time)
Thanks

If you settle in Kranevo, then you can go to the slides, carousels and other attractions in Albena. You can go along the road (asphalt), or you can go along the seashore :), as you like ..
As for 5 * hotels, I can’t tell you about the money, and I don’t see any reason to overpay "stupid" money. All that the hotel will give you as a bonus is the opportunity to swim in the pool, slippers, bathrobes and the opportunity to take bicycles :)
Take my word for it - there are many private hotels that are in no way inferior to 5-cams, and sometimes even better (since there are fewer people) and the owners have the opportunity to follow everything and give everyone the right amount of time.
We rested in 4 * (private), 14 days. September 2014. The rest cost us $400 for two with 2 meals a day (breakfasts and dinners). Souvenirs, excursions, etc., another 200-250 dollars.
Lunch in a good cafe costs 8-12 dollars per person.
If 5 * in a noisy town, feel free to multiply this figure by 2. Do not forget about visas +35 euros per person.
The most important thing!! Bring your currency with you. There the course is just ripping off ...

Of course, your resort is Albena. It is not necessary to take 5 * there, fours are also good. Prices are different, you can find a good hotel in any price category. You don’t have to walk 4 km anywhere, everything is in place, and the Aquapark too. The beaches are very good. Obzor is a good place to relax with children, but in the second half of August it is already stormy (the specifics of the location). St. Konstantin is a nice, calm resort, very green. But there is a problem with the beaches, there are only two good ones - at the Rubin hotel and at the Azalea hotel. But I don't advise you. Albena is better for your family. Look on the Internet. If you need recommendations on hotels, then write. You need to know in what period you want to go, the most expensive is July and until August 20th. The budget is important. There are also good hotels in Sunny Beach, in the southern part.

I looked at the prices for Albena. The most expensive all-inclusive hotels in August from 10 to 25 (you did not write when you are going). This is an expensive period. Flamingo Grand 5 * studio suite - 1795 euros with breakfast. Lunches and dinners are expensive there, but you can go to the buffet in other hotels. Kaliakra all inclusive - 2128, Gergana - 2021, Nona-1558 all inclusive, Laguna garden - 1725, Amelia suite - 1180 for breakfast, 1666 full board. And there are hotels, also good, but much cheaper. In Sunny Beach, Tiara Beach - 1741, Evrika Club -2300, both "all inclusive". And there are much cheaper hotels. Even in Pomorie Grand Hotel Pomorie 5 * for breakfast -1556, you can take a full board. So without your explanations on the budget it is difficult to say something specific.

That's right, the question is in the planned budget. And here is not Turkey or Egypt for all inclusive. Two weeks ago, RIU Helios Paradise was opened on the border of Sunny Beach and Sveti Vlas. They built for Lukoil for a year and a half (October 2013 - May 2015), but the Germans and the British were mostly visible there. There is a children's water park. A huge hotel, perhaps the largest here, on the site of a former children's respiratory sanatorium. (There is a good mix of sea and mountain air here, which is admired by those who have problems with the lungs and bronchi.) The territory is large. The park remained there for a quarter not cut down. The beach nearby is good. There is still a lot of work being done in the area. But I think it will be finished soon.
I don't know the price. Type in the search engine name and look. Haven't seen any reviews yet. On the one hand, "new", and on the other hand, is there any experience. After the weekend we go there to explore. And then I will write about it on my blog.
For each hotel, look at the reviews and focus on 80 percent. Because for any hotel there will be good and bad reviews.
The Grand Hotel Pomorie is impressive, especially its SPA center. But the beach somehow did not like: narrow. Although they were on it in November.

Look at the Lotus Hotel 4 * on the Riviera or the Riviera 5 * hotel. There is a chic closed area for 5 hotels. Beach own 30 meters, sandy, shallow. The area is very quiet after 10 o'clock. Nearby (10 minutes walk) Golden Sands. If you walk, you can go there. There are many swimming pools on the territory, a mineral warm shower on the beach, a playground, animations at the Riviera hotel. Good food. Near the bus to Varna - there is an amusement park. Read reviews.

murleykin, You write that you "rested in a 4 * (private)", but everything is private there, and it seems that there has never been anything at such a price in Kranevo among 4-star hotels. What kind of hotel?
аватар irina_1901
There is one new hotel in Kranevo, really 4 *, but it is expensive, it makes no sense to go to a simple resort for that kind of money. And to still walk 4 km to the attractions. It’s easier to take Albena right away. And I don't remember the name.
аватар irina_1901
igor_m. This is the Thermo Palace Hotel, in July for 2 weeks it costs 1881 euros for two all-inclusive.
аватар Igor_m
Poola, but murleykin quoted a price of $400, which was about 330 euros last year, i.e. almost six times cheaper and about 25 euros per day for everything - God forbid that it was 2-star, or even without any stars. But this is not important, the main thing is that for such money in Bulgaria you can have a good rest at any resort. Advice to the author - choose according to the money, after studying the reviews, and full speed ahead .. Good luck!

Igor, if they went in the second half of September, then maybe. And I looked at us from September 4 to 18, even 600 meters from the sea, the Niko Hotel on half board is more than 500 euros for two. So I can’t imagine ... And what kind of hotels are there in the private sector 4 *?
аватар murleykin
Igor_m rested in Villa San Marco. The price is real, we were there from September 9 to September 23, we were still lucky to get to the Jazz Festival with Makarevich. The hotel was just over half full. Next to us was the luxurious Hotel & SPA Therma Palace - in it, at best, the occupancy was 10-15%, the prices for vacationers were specified at 55-60 euros per day.

Hello!
Thanks to all who responded!
Now I will sit down to monitor Albena!
We are planning a trip in mid-July.
аватар irina_1901
I went to the website of this hotel and looked at the prices. Hotel Vila San Marco 2*. For the author of the question in the high season, the price for a 2-room suite (for 4 people) is 136 euros per day, a one-room suite for 2 people is 119. No meals. For 14 nights 1666-1900 euros. Towels, as well as bed linen, are changed 1 TIME A WEEK!!!??? Okay bed, but towels?! Now let's compare for the same period with good (expensive) hotels in Albena. Flamingo Grand Studio with kitchenette for breakfast - 1686, Gergana all inclusive - 1904, Laguna garden all inclusive - 1632, Sandy beach all inclusive - 1836 suite. The Amelia Hotel also deserves attention, the deluxe rooms are very good, for breakfast - 1115. You can take a full board, but I would go for lunch and dinner to another restaurant - Laguna Garden 4 *, also on the buffet. We, in fact, will do this, we will live in Flamingo for breakfast, and have lunch and dinner in Laguna or other hotels. Lunch for an adult, 6 euros, dinner - 7 euros, half for children, free for kids. Towels are changed EVERY DAY, bed linen after 2 days on the third.

You can’t fool us with Poola, after all, 2 stars at Hotel Vila San Marco, not 4!, but, I repeat, this is such a trifle ... In Bulgaria, it’s never bad on vacation if it’s clean, comfortable and sometimes fed.

He promised to look at the prices and territory of RIU Helios Paradise. I'll post a photo in a few days. The area is the largest. There are several pools that the Germans and the British love. The pools are big. There are sunbeds with hydromassage in the pools. But the area is still being developed. Everything will look great next year. In the meantime, for those who do not like to sleep on beds broken by children and children.
Prices (only with "all inclusive") for different seasons (low, medium, high) per person in BGN per day. 1€=1.953 leva.
-two standard 117, 145, 176
- apartment 151, 194, 234.
Children under 2 years old - surcharge 0.
Children 2 - 11 years old 50% with 2 or 3 adults on extra bed. And an adult on the extra bed lay 70%
Prices are given for comparison.
