Help with choosing a resort and hotel in Bulgaria
Please help me decide on the choice of the resort and the hotel on it. We are going in mid-July for the first time. Two adults and a 3 year old child. I don't know if it's better to take all inclusive or breakfast only

It is desirable such a place that in the evening you can go for a walk, take your child to attractions. Budget-average.
аватар monalisa29
If from a position where to go for a walk, then this is Sunny Beach, an embankment with entertainment passes through the entire resort, there is also an amusement park, only a 3-year-old child is in advance, more for adult children and their parents. And about hotels and food there, then read the answers to the questions above, so much has already been written

Bulgarian "all inclusive" is a complete sadness. As for me, the best thing you can choose with a small child is a good apartment somewhere on the coast or whatever you like. The apartments will be with a kitchen - so always make sure if the prices in restaurants do not fit. Breakfast is the most worth taking there. Very few hotels in Bulgaria offer an all-inclusive system and this affects its quality.

Good afternoon! For a vacation with a child, it is better for you to rent an apartment with a kitchen to feed the child, you yourself can feed yourself in cafes, but the child can be harmful. I have someone who was driving a car - they brought a double boiler with them, because. the children refused to eat (I suspect that they do not like their favorite Bulgarian seasoning), but, on the other hand, they bought milk in bulk in the store :)
I was in the family hotel St. Nicholas in Old Nessebar, it will be very cool with children, they always have a company there, and an enclosed courtyard with a bunch of toys, and you can cook there.

Definitely take breakfast. All inclusive is money thrown away.
аватар __Lena__
It is better to take only breakfast. As mentioned above, you can rent an apartment with a kitchen and cook for yourself. And there are plenty of cafes and restaurants. Yes, and for anyone at the hotel you can arrange dinner and lunch.
аватар 111alenchik111
Thanks a lot for the replies. I definitely don't want a kitchen. The child is not picky in food. Yes, I'm too lazy to cook. That's why I wanted "all inclusive". So which resort would you still advise to stay and in which hotel. Not to cook for yourself.
аватар katerinapolevska
If you don’t want to cook, don’t cook) rest should be rest, that’s right)) you can choose any resort - whatever your heart desires)) you won’t stay hungry there - and cafes and restaurants are higher than the roof) just don’t take it with food, that’s all I want to advise ) and believe me, the apartments there are brighter than many hotels
аватар 111alenchik111
Thank you very much for answering. So where exactly would you advise to go? Resort and hotel. Or even a few to choose from
аватар katerinapolevska
We rested near Nessebar - there are old buildings, and many restaurants with different cuisines, and cozy narrow streets with cobblestones and a huge promenade for walking - you will definitely find something for yourself and for your child. But the hotel in which we were on an all-inclusive basis (we have three children, we naive thought it was better) - I won’t advise))) look at the apartments in this area for your wallet, you won’t regret it. And in general - sunny beach is the right choice with a baby under 5 years old
аватар 111alenchik111
Thanks a lot for the replies. I will consider options for Sunny Beach and Nessebar. Now the main thing is not to make a mistake with the choice of hotel.
аватар katerinapolevska
When choosing, pay attention to the presence of your own beach. In public, sun loungers and umbrellas are paid. A good hotel or apartment should have its own beach. I'm glad if the tips are useful) I know for myself how difficult it is sometimes to make a choice.

I answer from Bulgaria, we are just relaxing on the sunny beach. On All Inclusive. Decent. And not sad at all. And with a toddler of three years, I won’t advise you to hang around cafes. There are decent establishments, and there are those where pasta with seafood is pasta with crab sticks. We didn’t like the sunny beach itself, for me Golden Sands and Albena are better. For kids, Albena, in my opinion, is what you need. Good luck choosing and relaxing!

We travel to Bulgaria with 2 children. I prefer apartments. Maximum breakfast. No matter how picky a child is, all inclusive is not for such children, but as mentioned above, in Bulgaria it is sad. If you think that you will eat everything, go to a cafe, because there is a large selection, they will cook whatever you want.

Thank you very much everyone for the replies and recommendations. I sit, I study, I consider. And another question: is it worth booking a hotel through the Booking service? Or are the prices wrong? How much more expensive will it be to apply to a travel agency? Maybe someone booked through booking? Please share your experience
аватар monalisa29
Please contact your travel agency. On booking, for some reason, for hotels in resorts in Bulgaria, the prices are strange, overpriced. And with me there was a case when young people arrived, showed the receptionist a confirmation on the phone from the booking, and she shrugged in confusion that she did not have this armor. Calm down when you have settlement vouchers in your hands
аватар Bobrovska
Booking prices are quite consistent. You can go to the website of the selected hotel and compare with booking if in doubt. If the hotel does not have its own website, then you cannot do without booking. I advise you to relax in Sozopol, hotel "Selena" 3 * (good animation, decent buffet) or in "Martines" (animation, food, higher class, respectively more expensive). Both the hotel and the other on the first line. And the city has a lot of entertainment, rides, city gardens and more. At the same time, it is much calmer than in purely resort areas such as Sunny Beach.
аватар katerinapolevska
We have been using Booking for more than a year, there have never been any problems in Europe. But we just went to Bulgaria through a travel agency)) you know, with a travel agency the problem will be that you will have to rely on the opinion of the tour operator. And on Booking - see for yourself, choose for yourself, draw conclusions from the reviews yourself.
аватар 19062005
On booking you can pick up a hotel, consider it, and then better go to a travel agency and compare prices. Usually package tours through tour operators are cheaper than booking. We travel to Bulgaria often, it's checked.

go to fb in the turmama community, there are offers from the owners both in Bulgaria, and in Italy with Turkey, it’s quite enough ... rent an inexpensive apartment, and eat in half - at home and in public catering

us in 2014. The travel agency replied:
"Sunny Beach and Golden Sands are not very suitable for families with children. It is noisy there at night, because there are a lot of discos. I would call these resorts for youth. But really, children's recreation is great in Albena (there are parks, playgrounds), in Sozopol ( gentle entry into the sea), in Ravda (wide beach, clear water)."
As a result, the grandmother with 2 grandchildren went to Evrika Beach Club Hotel 4 * in Sunny Beach. For the first time she rested on the "all inclusive" system, she was very pleased. And the children are delighted (6 and 7 years old).
аватар Bobrovska
We were in Sunny Beach for a long time, in 1995 already. Then it was a Soviet place. Went there again five years ago. Feeling of fuss, hustle, a round-the-clock "boombox" of some kind. For lovers of party holidays, that's it. If you want to be quieter, more cultured, and not constrained by money, then you can choose a "resort village". For example, "Santa Marina" near Sozopol. Closed area, apartments, private beach, a single organization of entertainment.
аватар 111alenchik111
Thank you very much for your help in resolving my issues. Now I will study all the proposed hotels. Sozopol was not even considered as an option. Probably in vain.
аватар Bobrovska
111alenchik111, oh, they didn’t consider it in vain! ))) Great little town. We have been vacationing there every year since 2008. Our children, one might say, have grown up on Sozopol beaches (from 3 to 12 years old!). And it's still not boring. We are going this summer too. We are resting at the Onegin Hotel. A wonderful place, two swimming pools, a playground, a Russian restaurant, where the cuisine is familiar to children, the first line. That's just "all inclusive" is not there - only breakfast.
аватар 111alenchik111
If only breakfast, are there any cafes nearby available?
аватар Bobrovska
111alenchik111, yes, of course, it's full of everything! Firstly, the same restaurant at the hotel: Russian, Ukrainian, Georgian cuisine. While the order is being carried, the child can play on the playground, it is right there. Secondly, after 10 meters from the hotel there is already an embankment, where catering is right wall to wall. Directly behind the hotel, on the embankment, for example, is the Sunny cafe, in which there is a children's playground with a batutik, toys, etc. lunch for four - enough for the eyes), sat at tables near the playground, and the children worked up an appetite on it while they carried the order. Next to this cafe, others stand in rows to the very end of the street. And almost everywhere there are complexes for 6-7 lev for lunch. You can have breakfast at the hotel, dine in cafes, and dine in the hotel restaurant, it's calm there. But if it seems a little expensive to dine in a restaurant, then you can buy fruit, watermelon, takeaway food and eat in your room (the cafe is noisy in the evening for a baby).

We were in Elenite last year. Elenite chain, hotel elenite villas4*. All. A complex of five hotels in one huge closed area. The food is excellent, the nature is super, the sea-beach is not bad. Large water park on site for free. It’s a complete disaster with order and cleaning, but this is Bulgaria ... If this complex was in Turkey, it would not be a five, but a dozen, but Bulgarian gypsies as servants are something! I won’t go to Bulgaria again, if I don’t stop.

Everyone advises where he rested. Sunny Beach, yes it is youthful, but not noisy everywhere. There is enough entertainment and Nessebar is within easy reach. Yes, and there are no problems with buses, if you go on an excursion somewhere. With children it is quite comfortable and relaxing there. If all inclusive - then you need to be tied to the hotel, so as not to miss breakfast, lunch, dinner. Take breakfast, and you can have lunch and dinner everywhere. And the hotels are pretty much the same everywhere.
аватар 111alenchik111
Thank you very much for your advice. We decided that we would only take breakfast. Tomorrow I'm going to the travel agency with a list of what I want according to your advice. Let's see what they offer me.
аватар 111alenchik111
I was at the travel agency yesterday. Here are the options they offered me. Avalon 4* (Sunny Beach), Helios Spa 4* (Golden Sands), Smartline Meridian 4* (Sunny Beach), Sirena (Sunny beach) 3* (Sunny Beach), Delfin (Sunny Beach) 3* (Sunny Beach), Green Park 3*+ (Golden Sands),
Perla (Golden Sands) 3 * (Golden Sands). Which of these options to choose, and which one should not be taken? Here I am suffering with a choice.
