Recommend good and inexpensive restaurants
I am going to go with a child to the Palace in June 2012. I want to take only breakfast in this hotel. What cafes do you recommend high-quality and inexpensive (names, where to be, preferably near the hotel, how much does it cost, what to take?)

Hello, I'm not sure exactly where your hotel is located, but it seems to me that you will be close (walking distance) to the Condor Bistro Garden. Last year (2011) in Sunny Beach, we liked it more than anyone else. Located near the center of the resort, the entrance to the territory is directly from the road along which city buses run. There are tables in the open air (or rather, under the canopy of trees), and there are places in enclosed spaces. Because Since it is not located on the coastline, the prices there are affordable. Serve quickly. The menu is varied. I hope you and your child enjoy it.

Thank you, this is not the first time I have read that there are good, inexpensive cafes behind the road (?), But how far is this road (the hotel is located on the first line, away from the center). because there are only 4 * and 5 * hotels nearby.

What did you take and how much did it cost in the summer of 2011?

The road itself is not far from the sea, 7 minutes waddle. But how far along the road then you have to go - I can’t say. You can try to go in the evening to look, ask the tourists. Or get on the bus and ask the conductor, which, of course, will cost more :). But you will know for sure whether it is worth going there in the heat for lunch or not. I don't remember the price. But exactly 1.5-2 times cheaper than on the beach. It seems that some soups cost 3-4-5 leva, salads (giant portions, in my opinion) about the same, hot (one for two with my daughter was taken and only in the evening) around 8-10 leva, you can have a dessert allow for mood. I'll try to ask a friend tomorrow, maybe she remembers the prices. I also remembered - in Sunny Beach there is such a quarter or something, where many, many cafes are poked. Somewhere near the market. There are cafes of different categories, you can watch the menu with prices and portion weights right on the street. If you don't like it, move on, the choice is huge.

I recommend you (I have vacationed in Bulgaria three times with children) since you are traveling with a child, be sure to take breakfast + dinner, I felt it myself with two children, I ran into different cafes. Unless, of course, you have 1000 euros with you in cash for food. Believe me, of course, there are a lot of cafes there, but if you correctly calculate it, it’s cheaper to pay at home than there, every time such an amount is collected a little bit (not small). Here are my children, for example, they don’t eat everything, and very good. picky eaters, and every time I was sitting in a cafe, I racked my brains to buy something for "not expensive" and so that they ate it, and if they don't eat it, I ate it up as paid. Then I suffered so hard to work as a pig and eat up what I didn’t eat. And I bought dinner right at my hotel, that’s where the child didn’t eat expanse, it’s okay, take it all included, take whatever you want at least ten times. And everyone is happy and full. And then walk along the coast and ice cream in a pinch.

As for dinner, I can agree. But I wouldn’t take lunch at the hotel - you’ll pay, but if you want to eat in the heat for the full amount - I doubt it. On the other hand, in the early days, walking in the heat, looking for a suitable cafe is also not always a hunt ... Just one day I decided for myself that it was more interesting and cheaper for me (although troublesome at first) not to become attached to one place of food. But it depends on your character and the age of the child. And for breakfast, I don’t see any reason to pay the hotel, unless you are used to having breakfast thoroughly. It was easier for me to make tea and coffee myself and have breakfast in the room with cottage cheese, yogurt, and a bun. But, I repeat, I am a mobile person, it is not difficult for me to walk around the resort in the evening and take care of breakfast along the way. In extreme cases, you can buy something in the morning on the way to the beach.

according to Eva, about breakfasts, it was too early for us to get up early and go to breakfast, especially since we all can’t eat immediately after sleep. As a result, they didn’t eat anything for breakfast except tea, but ate somewhere at the sea around 11 o’clock. and then chapalis from the beach to the hotel at lunchtime and dropped in for soup in a cafe at the hotel. So you can buy breakfast + dinner, I said. than just breakfast. Or there is another option to buy a tour without food at all, and pay for dinner separately at the entrance to the hotel at the reception. So it will be even better and more economical. (by the way, dinner can be bought at any hotel, even if you don’t live there)

My friend remembers (I never remembered) that in the Condor Bistro Garden soups cost 1-2 leva, salad is the cheapest (only vegetables) - around 1-1.5 leva. If a salad, for example, with chicken, then more expensive, up to 4-5 leva. One such salad was enough for us as lunch. Now compare: we were interested in neighboring hotels, the cost of lunch (buffet) is 14 leva per person (according to a friend :)). I think that in your hotel there is no less cost. Thus, we have outlined information for you to think about - it's up to you.

Thank you for your response, it's time to think. The child is 8 years old, not very small. I am also a very mobile person and love to change places (in Bulgaria I rested, but without a child 4 times, never took food), but now I compared the tour to the hotel that I liked, one breakfast 376E, and breakfast + dinner 441E, goes beyond 10 days + 65e (6.5e for a dinner of 2 people, nowhere I think I can not dine for such pennies). Maybe alcohol and juices are expensive to heat up? And another question for you, and if you selectively (not every day) to have dinner at your hotel or not more expensive?
аватар Marina.spb
You can’t feed a child with a salad, agree, if it’s also possible selectively (if dinner is not paid at home), you come to the reception and say today we eat here and pay and scratch to eat a buffet. Yes, indeed, I paid 15 euros for dinner at the hotel for 3 people, and still I win because there are desserts and fruits and soups and meat for this money, and what do you like. And in a cafe, for 15 euros in the evening, I would not eat much. You do not forget that Bulgaria has risen in price a lot last year and you still need to look for cheap cafes. I advise you if the difference is not big, buy breakfast + dinner at home. You will be calmer. By the way, 6.5 euros = 12 lev (this is a big pizza without a drink.) Everything has become expensive!!!

We rested in the Palace 5 years ago. When buying tickets, we chose the type of food - breakfast only. I thought we were going to cafes. But even with an abundance of cafes, we dined at the hotel - dinners were always varied and tasty, but they cost more than if we had paid about 20% when buying a ticket. Pay a fixed price for each individual dinner. There was no buffet lunch at the hotel. At lunch, the restaurant worked as a cafe - the menu included pizzas, salads, spaghetti. In general, we really liked the hotel. I hope it only gets better with time.

read my review of this hotel. A cool cafe is located at the exit from the hotel to the sea on the right hand, 2-3 minutes on foot. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name, but she alone is located there at the fork in the road, and a pleasant young man always invites me to come in. It took about 10 euros for two of us to eat enough.
аватар Holidays2011
And in the hotel restaurant itself, country-style potatoes with 2 sauces and chicken soup are very tasty.
аватар bilovollara
Thank you, and chicken soup is served for dinner, because I know that this hotel does not have lunch, it works as a restaurant (pizza, etc.) Is it possible to take a child for lunch chicken soup in his own hotel?
Who knows how much their Bulgarian beer and juices and water in the restaurant cost. Just worried about the cheapness of dinner at the hotel (6.5) for two, do not play for drinks?

Indeed, dinner 5 years ago for two of us cost about 12 leva, it was something around 7-8 dollars. If we had bought dinners at the time of buying a ticket, it would have cost us $ 6. For dinner, we took only beer - prices depend on the variety, but I don’t remember that a glass would cost more than $ 2. The hotel had a little scarlet shop bought water, juices and brandy there. At 50 meters there was a bigger shop with lower prices. And the chicken soup was really wonderful - I ate a year in advance. We didn't have lunch at the hotel, so we don't know about the lunch menu. Remember that they have sunbeds and umbrellas for a fee - we were not warned and this was a surprise for us.
аватар Marina.spb
Yes, at dinner you will not be given free drinks. so juice tea and wine is the only thing you will pay for at the hotel besides breakfast. The prices for drinks are the same as in cafes on the street. so you don't worry anyway.
аватар Holidays2011
Beer 0.5 costs 2 euros, juices from 1.5 euros and more. Soup we took in the evening, but if you ask, I think it will be for dinner. 1.5 euros for 7 liters of water. Water can only be used bottled! You can buy water directly from the shop in the hotel.
аватар Holidays2011
Drusan kebab (rice, pork and vegetables) is also a classy dish. Many dishes are displayed at a lower price on the days of promotions. There is a small board at the entrance to the hotel.

Questions about sunbeds and umbrellas - only I have to take or the child will be forced to buy. Is it possible one on two. I want to sunbathe in the paid area, there are fewer people, especially in June, the price is warned, on the 7th day of the person.
аватар ALEKSASHKA
Pay only for what you borrow.
аватар Marina.spb
7 is not euro, but 7 lev = 4 euro. I took (there are three of us) generally one umbrella, and there was no one around us anyway.
аватар bilovollara
7 lev umbrella and 7 lev lounger = 14 lev (7) I was told in a travel agency. Who knows who was last summer?

аватар Marina.spb
I was last summer, hosh take an umbrella, but hosh do not take an umbrella, take only a sunbed. Umbrella - 7 lev. sunbed - 7 lev. So I saved money and took only an umbrella., Just an uncle moved sun loungers from me within a radius of 2 meters, and it was spacious. I paid 7 lev for this.
аватар bilovollara
Class, you can take one sunbed on not very hot days and save on an umbrella.
аватар Holidays2011
We bought our umbrella there last year and used it in the free zone. The above is true: 7 levs for an umbrella and 7 sunbeds. Under 1 umbrella you can have a maximum of 3-4 sunbeds. I think you have enough)))
аватар Marina.spb
Yes, and yearn for this umbrella with you. besides all sorts of circles of towels, there seems to be nothing to yearn for. And the free zone is either at the water's edge and people walk back and forth and step over you or on the dunes far from the sea. No one has yet on the cunning Bulgarian ....l.
