How much to take with you on vacation
We are traveling together with a child of 8 years for 10 days. The hotel took only breakfast. We are going to Bulgaria for the first time. Could you tell me what the prices are, approximately how much to expect?

250-300 dollars for 10 days is more than enough, it will even be a lot, if you find a cheaper cafe, then 200 is enough, and which hotel do you go to
аватар irinavladnik
It may be enough, but not dollars, but euros. All the same, if there is a financial opportunity, it is better to have 50 euros per day. Meals, payment for an umbrella and a sunbed on the beach, and just in case (suddenly you have to buy medicines). The child may want fruit, juice, etc. It's better to bring the money back if you have any.

If you took only breakfast, then here is an approximate calculation for you:
- corn 1 euro;
- a bottle of water 1 euro;
- cotton candy 1 euro;
- Lunch at the waterfront cafe for 2 people. about 10 euros (dinner is the same price) and it's not very chic.
- products in stores are slightly higher prices than in Ukraine (yogurt is about 1 euro, milk is a little less than 1 euro, a pack of cookies is 2 euros).
Keep in mind that the beach you will also be paid. All beaches in Bulgaria are paid: 2 euros for a sunbed, 2 euros for zones, if just on a litter, then just 2 euros. I wrote the minimum beach prices, it can go up to 5 euros (this is for 1 day). But, there is an option to go somewhere away from the main beach (they have written in the law that some part of the beach there is still free for everyone). So take the equivalent of at least 300 euros, and more is better. Bring home as unnecessary)

I'll bring clarity. Beaches in Bulgaria are not paid. But the umbrella, sun loungers are paid. Two sun loungers and an umbrella are about 20-25 leva, those are 10-12 euros. Option: you can take only an umbrella and lie on towels, or behind the rows of these umbrellas there is a free area where people come with their umbrella and lie on towels. There, of course, there are always a lot of people and not the first line

Yes. The beaches are free, umbrellas and sunbeds for 8 lev. If the budget is small, then buy an umbrella and rugs. The biggest umbrella cost 22 leva (1 euro on Sat was 1.91 lev in Korona exchangers). Rugs 3 leva. It will be much cheaper. There are many free zones in Sunny Beach, incl. close to water. On nutrition, specifically on Sat, there was a question a couple of days ago, look, I painted everything there, and ddr, who is now there, confirmed it. Only breakfast was taken, probably in vain. What is your hotel? Maybe it's better to pay extra, or maybe not, depending on the hotel.

Poola, and about the budget for 10 days? I'm interested in your opinion? I won’t write about mine, otherwise they won’t understand it.
аватар irinavladnik
At $ 200, as they wrote here, I somehow can’t believe it

Thanks for the advice. Crown Hotel. We didn’t take dinner, as we found out what you can buy on the spot - the price is the same as for the ticket. We decided that when you want to go out for dinner somewhere so as not to overpay. And when we stay at the hotel, then we will take it there. but I ask about the budget, because I know that no matter how much money I take, I will spend it all! Therefore, it is interesting to at least start from something))))

You have a good rest. Bulgaria is a very comfortable country for families with children!
аватар irina_1901
irinavladi71. You will definitely not be understood. I know how you like to relax! We also take a lot. Although, basically, we have "all inclusive ", we also like to sit in a restaurant sometimes. But we are without kids, only adults and well-earned people. And families with children from Ukraine, where the exchange rate has collapsed, of course, need to be more economical. If you spend for lunch with a child: 2 soups -5 lev. one second for two - about 6 lev (the child will not eat more) and water -1 lev = 6 euros x 10 = 60 euros. It is better to buy juices and sweets in the supermarket, a package of 1 liter costs 2.5 leva. For dinners at the hotel, they usually take 6-7 levs per adult and half per child = 5 euros x 10 = 50 euros. Estimate 50 euros for the store (sweets, ice cream, etc.), an umbrella and rugs = 40 euros. Maybe you want to take a tour. Good sandals from Karyoka (Karioka) - 25 euros, souvenirs - 20 euros. In general, take 250-300 euros.

Thanks for the answer. Super economical but real.

You need to take a bank card, on which there is an equivalent of at least 500 euros. In order not to regret later that they denied themselves and the child something. Definitely take your child to the water park. With a card, you will not lose on a double currency exchange, withdrawing levs from an ATM immediately. You can withdraw 400 leva for 1 reception. And for any amount, when withdrawing from an ATM, you will be charged 4 leva or a little more than 2 euros. The official exchange rate is 1 euro = 1.953 leva. Be careful at exchangers. They can change at 1.93, and at 1.91, and 1.59. But when withdrawing money from an ATM abroad, be sure to warn your bank that you will be withdrawing money abroad. This obligation is in every contract. It happens rarely, but the card can be blocked.
If you are modest in nutrition, then 100 euros may be enough. A little more freely, and 300 will be enough.
For the two of us, 300-350 euros is enough for food for a month. We live the second year, but we cook at home. Salads every day, fruits, etc. Prices in stores like Janet, Lidl, Rennie, Mercury are very reasonable. If you take a studio, you can cook yourself and cheaply. Even warming up semi-finished products.

thanks for the answers)) Tell me who else is aware of the price of the water park. Bulgaria was really chosen with the aim of spending a vacation at an economy level .. But still, children are not accustomed to refusing entertainment for children) And what else is interesting for children from entertainment?

There is also a Mladost supermarket in Sunny Beach. Upon arrival, we most often went there: it will be cheaper than others. 400 meters from the bus station.
There are two water parks. One directly in Sunny Beach, and the second on the road to Burgas. He's more interesting. They collect there by special buses with the inscription Aquapark. I do not remember the price, but if you go after dinner, then it is half as much.
There is also a water park in Elenite. Take bus number 8 for 15 minutes from the center of the SB.

There is nothing special for children outside the hotel. Usually all entertainment in hotels. I have not been to Corona, but many more expensive hotels have children's animation and water slides. I know water parks in Sunny Beach and Nessebar. But for children it’s better on Saturday, in Nessebar it’s not childishly scary. I don't remember the exact price, but it's not cheap. If I'm not mistaken, for half a day the adult pool is 28 lev (14 euros), for children up to 1m30cm - 14 lev. I think it would be cheaper to take a more expensive hotel, but with slides. Fruit on Sat is also not cheap. I advise you to buy in New Nessebar or closer to Ravda. The cheapest were in Pomorie. Therefore, on Sat it is advisable to take "all inclusive" or half board, fruits are given for dinner. I don't know about the quality of food in Corona. I looked at the prices and it's pretty cheap. But still, I would take dinner. For the future: if you need entertainment for the child, ice cream, sweets, drinks, fruits, then it’s better to take a hotel a little more expensive: Iskar, Longoza. It will end up being cheaper.

See prices for the water park in Nessebar here: http://www.aquaparadise-bg.com/#info? lang=ru&inf=2
I can answer questions about the water park (Nessebar) in a personal. Was there last year and still can't forget.
аватар magazin_new
There is nothing wrong with the Aquapark in Nessebar) Yes, the prices are as indicated here. Your child will be allowed only on those slides where he can ride. Two adult slides - exclusively for adults. Get ready for the fact that when climbing the slides there are AWESOME drafts, because. the ascent goes up the stairs, as if in a building that has no windows. Really blows well, so if you are afraid of drafts, then the slides are not for you. But, a lot of entertainment without slides. The child will be interested. In the water park itself, fooddrink are expensive. Take something with you.

So I still can’t forget about the water park in a good way. )) My girl (11 years old) really liked it there.

You need 400 euros - enough for food and entertainment (3 people for 10 days, including Sat prices).
аватар Juliana2010
everything, of course, depends on the appetite, but we went 2 years ago (and I see from the reviews that neither the exchange rate nor the prices have changed much), I + 2 children took 500 euros with me for the same period, 50-brought back. hotel HB, but a couple of times we went to the restaurant with the children, we spent the whole day in the Aqua Park, we went by taxi everywhere, and of course there were ice-cream-cakes-juices-fruits Euridean. :)
