Tell me what places you can visit in Sozopol and what excursions are offered?
Good time of the day! In August I'm going on vacation to Bulgaria, Sozopol. I will be in Bulgaria for the first time. Please tell me what places in Sozopol and the nearest area you can and should visit, because in 10 days you can spend time not only on the beach.
Thank you very much in advance!

Sozopol itself is very interesting. You can go along the Ropotamo River. But nothing special. Just take a boat ride. The brochures say that this is a nature reserve and there are many birds and animals. We saw a couple of seagulls and a turtle. There is an interesting museum. But there are more tourists than in Sozopol. In my opinion, Sozopol is more colorful. There is a good trip to Istanbul for 2 days. To Sofia and Plovdiv. But 10 days are not enough for all this.

I agree with LANA39, Sozopol itself is very interesting - this is generally my favorite place in Bulgaria. Even just walking around the streets and seeing the buildings will already be interesting, and in the evening you can go to discos, to the park, where there is a lot of entertainment. There are several nature reserves nearby, but I don't remember their names. And there are a couple of very beautiful beaches that few people know about, but you should ask the locals about it. All in all, you can't help but like it!

Further on Nessebar can be tiring. It’s also hard to get to Istanbul (especially if you go to Bulgaria by bus). Although, maybe you are hardy people :). We went to Nessebar on our own. Buses run like clockwork. You go to Burgas, and from there to Nessebar. We also went to the water park. There, near the museums, a free minibus goes to the water park. From 14.00 in the water park they take less money (it seems to be like half a day, I don’t remember exactly).
And, of course, Sozopol itself.

I think Sozopol itself is enough for you. This is the most beautiful old town on the southern coast of Bulgaria!

I agree with all the answers, Sozopol itself is so interesting that 10 days is just enough to explore only its streets.
We were in the water park, almost the whole day, on the way back we looked into Nessebar, the town is like a twin similar to Sozopol only less.
