please tell me the cost of meals and food in Sveti Vlas
Good day to all. We are going to Bulgaria in Sveti Vlas in August 2013. Tour without meals. I would like to know the cost of food in cafes - breakfast, lunch and dinner and the cost of food in levs, and even better in euros, preferably as of 2013, in order to have at least a rough guideline in terms of how much to take with you for meals.

In St. Vlas, food is not cheap, and it is completely unjustified. On the Main Street there are cafes and a bathhouse (there, I think) is cheaper. You don't need this resort to go to restaurants. What I saw: soup - 2.5 levs, hot meat - 6-7 levs. This is on average. Fruits in tents and groceries in stores at low prices, like everywhere else. We try to take at least half board at such resorts, better all inclusive. And for restaurants - then in Pomorie.

I just arrived from S. Vlas. My hotel was Sunrise on Sirena street. I only had breakfast. I give information on the checks that I have. Milk 1.5% -1l. .,Svinska kavarma in a pot 8.49lev. (Thea Bistro) is at the top in the center. Mushroom soup is very thick and hearty-2.80lev. Fried cheese in breadcrumbs (Kashkaval pane)-6.80lev. Salmon in oil 125g. poland-5.18 lev. (in the super market). Soup Tarator 3.00 lev. (Sian restaurant). In the same place, Pyrlenka with kashkaval (flat cake and baked cheese from the top) -3.50 lev. Here, and now where I mainly ate: Cafe SEAGATE .It is on Sirena street from the Sunrise Hotel to the sea on the left side of 100 meters, so it is below the road. Soup Tarator-1.50lev., Pyrlenka-2.50lev. 2 pcs.), Kyufte (like a grilled cutlet_also delicious) 1 pc. and more expensive. Coffee is bad everywhere from 2 lev. I liked it from the machine-0.40-0.50 lev. So you can eat differently.

For three years in a row we have been staying in St. Vlas at the Janet Hotel, Zora St., 1. We ate only in local cafes - Beads on the central square, Neptune near the beach, just below the Berlin Hotel. You are in a couple of days you will find a suitable cafe, but Sidorov 15 is wrong - they make excellent coffee in the above cafes. For two of us, 60 lev was enough per day, this was 30 euros, we did not deny ourselves anything. I will add that the prices for food in St. Vlas are below the average for Bulgaria. Golden Sands with the same diet and having breakfast at the hotel, it took 60 euros a day at least. Have a good rest, do not get hung up on trifles, visit Shipka, Veliko Tarnovo, the monastery in Dryanovo - it's all on the same road, eat less, smile more!

we are currently on vacation in St. Vlas. Therefore, I will not direct prices (sidorov15 gave a completely exhaustive answer), but I will add from my bell tower :)))
If you are traveling with a company, then it is beneficial to take a taxi to Old Nessebar (20 lev, but a minibus for 4 + children is also so much). And after walking, resting, enjoying on the way back, go to Mladost (in the center on Father Paisiy or Jeannette street (on the ring, 200 meters below) and buy there)) The cheapest and very high-quality milk is German) 1 euro per liter of tetrapak. The package is cheaper. Wines from 1.89 lev, but decent ones start from 4 lev. Fruits: peaches from 2.90 to 3.53 levs, cherries from 3 levs to 4 levs, watermelons from 0.7 to 0.99 levs; melon 1.90-2.30 levs; olives and Greek olives 5 lev per 0.5 kg packaged or about 6.5 lev / kg by weight; kefir (very good - it fully replaces sour cream for us) - 1 lev; meat (the freshest in the Mesar shop!!): selected pork fillet = 8.5 lev, lamb-1 lev, calf = 14 lev per kg. Liver 6, beef tongue 12 lev/kg!
Onions, potatoes, cabbage = up to 2 lev/kg.
Oil - not less than 3.5 lev / pack 200 gr.; Italian pasta from 1.20 lev to 5 lev / pack of 500 grams. In general, meat, fruits and vegetables, wines are very cheap, cereals, sweets are expensive.

And one more thing :)) We are vacationing with children and this, of course, leaves its mark on the gastronomic views on vacation :))) Bulgarian cuisine is rather monotonous and too saturated with all sorts of seasonings - this is not a secret, and the food system in hotels is very sad in most options . Therefore, with that awesome! the choice of good products that are in the Bulgarian magicians - IMHO: the best option is apartments with a kitchen. That is, I bought the best and favorite and there according to the situation - when in a cafe, when at home there is a cheese / meat / vegetable platter for breakfast. And coffee is brewed EXCELLENT in the Tsar Simeon restaurant, for example :))) so everything is relative.
