If you want to try Cretan wine, try Retsina, a very unusual, white with a hint of resin. I'll tell you straight - for an amateur. I won’t recommend anything specific from Cretan red wines, go to the supermarket and choose Vin de Crete Red, sugar content (whatever you want) and a price category of at least 6 euros per bottle.
