There is a vacation for 8-10 days in May. The choice fell on Italy. On one's own. Arrival to Venice. Departure is most likely also from Venice, and possibly from Milan (still looking at options). We want to take 4 days to Rome, Venice 2 or 3. What else is worth seeing? Florence, or maybe Turin? How many days per city? I foresee that someone will say that even a month will not be enough for Rome, let alone 4 days. However, I would like to see more. We plan to travel around the country by train. Please help me with the itinerary.

Since your time is limited and there are already 2 cities in mind, I advise you to also see Florence and if you take a flight from Milan, then it. We traveled around Italy in our car, so we had the opportunity to visit Siena, Pisa, Turin and a bunch of other small towns. In such cities, one does not need much time for sightseeing, so we managed to visit 2 cities a day.
